  1. I am American and now working internationally, based in UK. Why can't I get access to Gold?

    My account has been totally screwed up of late. I can't search any of my online emails, new, old, saved, sent, etc. That is a huge problem since I have had an AOL account continuously since 1992!

    2 weeks ago ALL of my new emails just vanished, no where to be found. What is weird is ALL 3100 of them are still showing as new, but only 30 are visible from last 2 weeks.

    I am desperate to get this fixed and would even consider using Gold to retrieve them and be able to store everything on my laptop. But…

  2. I have been using group email for my classes for years and now it seems you are not allowing me to do that!!

    you are preventing me from using my group emails that I have done for years to send info on my classes, this is a private group of people who want to be in it.
    And often, my addresses seem to disappear!! this sucks

  3. "Block mail containing specific words and phrases" doesn't seem to be an option

    In several other posts re "Spam," you suggest:

    "We recommend setting up a content filter in order to block mail containing specific words and phrases. To do this in AOL Desktop Gold, please follow these steps:

    1. Click “Mail” at the top left.
    2. Select “Block Unwanted Mail” from the drop-down menu.
    3. Check the “Block mail containing specific words and phrases” option.
    4. Add postmaster-relay the in the box below.
    5. Click Save at the bottom."

    The problem is--"Block mail containing specific words and phrases" doesn't appear to be an option anymore! Where did it go?

    I am using AOL Desktop Gold Revision 11.0.2007.…

  4. Can't get rid of spam number

    Not only am I still getting a lot of spam, which I keep deleting, but it STILL says I have 5 items DESPITE the FACT that I have already deleted them. What is wrong with AOL? I don't need this aggravation...I'm going to have to go if you can't return 'Gold" to some semblance of 9.2, which I never had problems with!

  5. Please bring back the copy and paste ability in the address boxes

    Copying and pasting addresses in the address boxes. Also please allow for editing. It is ridiculous to ave to erase an entire address since the ability to edit is no longer in existence.

  6. BCC RECIPIENTS NO LONGER SHOWING UP + GETTING ERROR MESSAGE WHEN TRYING TO SEND

    As of today, the BCC recipient address no longer show; I have to click on the Details link for a window to pop up which is a bothersome extra step. What happened??? Also, when I try to send the same list of recipients, an error message no pops us, "Mail failed to send due to error", but it doesn't say WHAT IT'S DUE TO OR HOW TO FIX IT. ASAP PLEASE ADVISE!!!!!

  7. VERY IMPORTANT email photos disappearing when save into a "saved on aol" folder. Why does this happen?

    I have had some extremely important photos sent to me via aol email and have tried to save them in a "saved on aol" folder, only to discover that they are no longer accessible when I try to retrieve them. A short note/description of what the picture may contain appears in writing but no picture/photo. I have lost some extremely important family pics because of this. I am truly frustrated with this and would like to know why it keeps happening. FIX IT....SERIOUSLY !

  9. Mail Service

    Go back to the old way. Set up AOL letters to be larger. Do something about 1/2 email I never get. I am slowly using other email addresses to move out of AOL. I have been using this service for years and I must agree with all the complaints being sent to you. I may lose $31 bc an email ***** sent me did not get through. Have you gotten too big? Sometimes less is more. Keep it simple and fix what is broken before making changes.

    Every time I clicked on the edit button it will take 3 times to load up the options for copy and paste. Also, sometimes there are broken image of the "write mail".

  17. I can no longer send blind copy emails as I have done for 20 years to a closed group

    For 20 years I have sent blind copy emails to 300 or more people that request them. I did this in groups of less than 150. Now AOL won't permit me to send these emails

  18. Auto Spell Check does not recognize correctly spelled technical terms & won't send due to "Error" which does not exist !!

    Your Auto Spell Check does not recognize technical terms & product names, so it won't send email claiming there is an "Error",.... The error is the stupid spell check, dump it, please, tired of having it refuse to send valid emails out

  19. Error Messages Keep Telling Me My Mail Cannot Be Sent Because of Some Error

    Sometimes I get a message that says my mail cannot be sent because of an error yet it will send if I put it into Mail Waiting to be Sent. Other times it says We Seem To Be Having Trouble Loading Your Mail. Try Again in 5 Minutes. But five minutes, ten minutes, half an hour later and it still won't send my mail!!

  20. Partially disabled mail filing

    Using my resident AOL Gold desktop...
    -- when I open my "Incoming/Saved Mail" folder...
    -- RIGHT click on a message, on which I copied myself...
    -- go to "Move to"...
    -- "On My PC"...
    -- the "Mail You've Sent" option is DISABLED.

    WHY ??

    We must be able to file a message ANYWHERE WE WANT TO.

    Options should NOT be disabled.
