  1. Not getting mail from a newsletter I belong to

    I have been getting mail from a newsletter I have subscribed to for years and now for some reason i'm not getting it. It is two different post they send to me one daily and one on Fridays. I want to know WHY!!!!!!

  2. AOL has attached my AOL account to my Yahoo Account but when I try to respond to a financial thing from my Yahoo Portfolio I get my AOL emai

    AOL has attached my AOL account to my Yahoo Account but when I try to respond to a financial thing from my Yahoo Portfolio I get my AOL email as the sending form with.. This I don't want because I use separate account so when the spam gets too great on my retail account name I just don't use (or close that particular) that particular account. I don't want to mess up this AOL account as this is my friends and neighbor account. I think the answer to this is to make an icon on my desk top to access…

  3. bad (or glitch in) update in past 2 days?

    About 1,000 of my "NEW" emails disappeared over the past day or two. It seems as if they, somehow, were moved to my "OLD MAIL" folder, but not by me. btw, it does look like there is a time cutoff going back about 2 years or thereabouts on these moves. I'm mentioning it in case someone else has this issue or in the event you want to share it with whoever does your software updates. I have a hunch someone messed up some code somewhere along the line with a recent update. There is no other explanation I can think…

  7. STOP SCREWING around with email.

    Yesterday I tried to send an email, and al that happened is AOL closed. When it reopened the email was still there. TODAY, I tried to send an email (thinking that you fixed it), it just sat there and made AOL FREEZE.
    WTF people, can't you do anything right??? Fix the email situation permanently and stop screwing around with it.
    I believe that, whoever is screwing up the email system "SHOULD BE FIRED"!

  8. Listen to your customers

    AOL has to start listening to its customers--or leave the business. If they don't, their customers will leave it anyway. Technicians are just running hog wild--introducing new networks, making changes in existing ones without taking into consideration whether their customers want them or if it will harm their customers. Case in point: why upgrade your network and remove security filters (i.e. restricting mail to people I know). Now, all spam enters my inbox--and anything reported as spam cannot be retrieved if inadvertently deleted. This is just crazy. I've never, ever seen a company like this one. Never!

  9. Please bring back the copy and paste ability in the address boxes

    Copying and pasting addresses in the address boxes. Also please allow for editing. It is ridiculous to ave to erase an entire address since the ability to edit is no longer in existence.

  10. EMAIL ADDRESSES AND GROUPS - WHERE DID THEY GO & WHY??????

    SOMEHOW OR ANOTHER, SOMEONE DECIDED THAT GETTING RID OF SOME OF MY EMAIL ADDRESSES & GROUPS WAS A GOOD IDEA - WRONG IN SO MANY WAYS. i WANT MY EMAIL ADDRESSES AND GROUPS THAT WERE SO RUDELY DELETED BACK IN MY MAIL.... THANKS, TOM

  11. "Block mail containing specific words and phrases" doesn't seem to be an option

    In several other posts re "Spam," you suggest:

    "We recommend setting up a content filter in order to block mail containing specific words and phrases. To do this in AOL Desktop Gold, please follow these steps:

    1. Click “Mail” at the top left.
    2. Select “Block Unwanted Mail” from the drop-down menu.
    3. Check the “Block mail containing specific words and phrases” option.
    4. Add postmaster-relay the in the box below.
    5. Click Save at the bottom."

    The problem is--"Block mail containing specific words and phrases" doesn't appear to be an option anymore! Where did it go?

    I am using AOL Desktop Gold Revision 11.0.2007.…

  12. Unable to Open a .png file attachment

    I was sent 2 emails with attachment of .png. file and I was not able to open or read the attachments or files even with Icy remote sharing my computer.

    When I need one of my online vendor accounts to send me a link in order to reset my password...and it comes from an automatic system...It never comes through! I've contacted you on this issue before. I give them my gmail address now. I don't know what you changed...I don't have them blocked, I never had this issue with the old AOL. seriously thinking of not paying for gold...it doesn't work properly

  17. Remove Google ads from Mailbox and e-mail windows - 4 times it's tried to force me to download a virus and I've had to shutdown

    In at least 4 instances since Desktop Gold was established, an audio ad has said in part "you may have a virus" and attempted to force a download which when cancelled just popped up again. The only way to get rid of it was in Task Manager (Windows 7) by forcing AOL to shutdown. If this continues, I'll close my 20+ year PAID AOL account

  20. mail settings

    I have made at least eight attempts to change my font and point to a different choice. It keeps going back to a default setting. Does anyone know how to make the new choice "stick"?
