AOL Desktop Gold feedback page needs to display posting dates
This post is being made on 2018-08-22; I am on version 11.0.1916.
I was prompted to provide this feedback because in the process of trying to provide feedback I could not tell whether the other feedback items I could see in various topics were current or not. Not until I chose to delve down into an item someone else posted did I discover that the posting date for the original post and comments were displayed.This reflects less than optimal page / functional design, and needs improvement -- even if this is a minor issue, it is a barrier to…

AOL Desktop Gold feedback page needs improvement
This post is being made on 2018-08-22; I am on version 11.0.1916.
I was prompted to provide this feedback because in the process of trying to provide feedback on ANOTHER topic (which was my first attempt to use the feedback capability), I had difficulty with just the opening page! I was signed into AOL Desktop Gold via "Submit feedback" on the HELP menu. This opened a browser with the AOL Gold feedback landing page, but the upper right corner said "New and returning users may sign in" and did not reflect knowledge of me as a user. Clicking on that… -

AOL will not fix constant running background processes from AOL Gold in Windows 10 slowing all systems due to this - they fall a deaf ear!!
AOL Gold on Windows 10 will not stop running multiple background processes for the last 2 months. Gold & W 10 all up to date. No new antivirus installed - always same Norton for years. Worked fine for almost a year. Uninstalled & reinstalled by your people 10 times, never fixed. No one at AOL will fix this for us, called a dozen times & we pay $13.99 a month for this! Must reboot with every icon opening ro erase the inappropraitely stored background processes or icon will not open up again! Only app that does this - dozens of…

Chat Help service 'closed'
More than 2 months ago, I reported this and it's still not fixed:
Go to Help/Chat -- and sign in with name/ID/etc. and wait . . . . and wait . . . . and then msg comes back: "Your chat request has been canceled because no agents are available." THIS SHOULD BE UP FRONT, NOT AFTER YOU'VE INPUT INFO AND WAITED!!!

False Advertising:
I am writing to complain that AOL is engaging in the deceptive practice of sending out emails advertising what they describe as free malware, when in fact it is only a free 30 day trial. Those 30 days go by very fast, then - before you know it - you've got an unwanted charge because you didn't notice to cancel the trial. I am also sending a complaint to the FCC.

Rerun articles
Quit running articles over and over and over for months at a time. Ridiculous. Classic example is Kanye's rant. Has been popping up for months. WHY? Nobody cares.

I'm tired of AOL consistently deleting something that I post as it does not break any AOL rules.

Adding feedback brings you back to the beginning instead of the last page you were on. Time consuming!
If you view feedback and vote or add a comment it scrolls back to the beginning of feedback. TIME CONSUMING AND ANNOYING.

chat room issues
why did you put a "notify aol" button in chat rooms if no one is going to respond to them or do anything? So many evil nasty people saying hurtful things to others and when we try and send to you guys, it eithrr just never gets handled or it just loads and loads and loads and never sends. What's the point and when will the issue finally get taken care of in some form or another?

4 + HOURS THIS MORNING TO SIGN ON TO GOLD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
either screen does not load or does not respond - sometime get error message 118 , sometimes instantly get message connection is timed out , sometimes get message that my account can not be retrieved - for over a month it has taken multiple attempts to sign on - reported on report a bug daily for weeks ! - the problem is with AOL , not my equipment - DO not ask me to call your incompetent , useless tech support , it is futile + i am frustrated enough with GOLD -
