Issue201911 has been reported over and over and over for his nasty comments and talking about having *** with peoples dead mothers. Please do something about this man he still has his account

Lets have a little courtesy when on chat, yes you may be busy Arthur S but I waited to talk to you and did not get the complete information and when I asked to wait you cut me off Extremely rude an unprofessional for a paying customer. I think you should wait until the customer is satisfied with the help you have suggested and to make sure the customer is satisfied

What do you have in your mind to CLOSE out comments, in most cases, without telling us what you did to address the problem and what you have found is the solution. AOL needs to take responsibility for the #$% Gold software that you KNOW isn't properly working. Your tech support has no support from YOU and thus can't answer or fix problems. It's not the tech person's fault but they are the one's who get the brunt for your poorly designed and disintegrating "service" and software. I'm paying for the service for the last years and Gold just keeps…

Getting blue bar when trying to correct words that deletes the following words
When I'm typing and make a mistake, I go back to correct it and I get a BLUE bar, that deletes letters on the next word. I have to change positions, correct the misspelling and then put it back in place. That happens with no warning. And it happens, no all the time, but a lot of times.
In order to disable the overtype mode, press the Insert key on your keyboard, then you can please the cursor behind the word you want to delete.

Can't find where to adjust (or stop) auto sign off. When I TRIED to get an answer from chat, I was told to reinstall the entire program!!
I want more time before auto sign off. All info is for OLD AOL not Gold. Chat agent told me to just reinstall the entire program. How does that show me where to locate the option to adjust sign off time? When I asked during the chat, he just left me hanging and quit chatting. And I get to PAY for this great service??!!!
The AOL Desktop Gold does not have a auto sign off feature, but it is possible for the software to sign off if the computer goes into sleep mode. We recommend adjusting the power and sleep settings on your system, by following the steps in the article below, in order to prevent the AOL Desktop Gold from signing you off.

Why does the price increase email go to all screen names ?
Why does the price increase email go to all screen names ? It should only go to the master screen name. For me it goes to all of them. I have to go to each one to opt out. One of them I haven't gotten the email. If I wouldn't go to each and opt out with each then after the dead line, would I automatically be in the new price plan ? This is no good this way. It would be a way of tricking someone into taking the price increase plan.
Hi there, you can opt-out just once, by opening the notification email from your master account, and clicking on the opt-out link. Once this is done, you will not have to opt-out from any other username.

chat rooms down AGAIN
Again, your cat rooms are down and people cannot access them. Your service is terrible as of late. Last time this happened I was on the phone with an AOL tech for 45 mins as I was continued to be lied to over and over by people who have no business being called techs...
Close and reopen AOL Desktop Gold and check if the chat rooms are loading.

AOL Gold Install Disc
I need an AOL Gold Install Disc to install AOL on my new Dell laptop!! I cannot download from the net because the AOL Techs say my network is infected and now secure!!!! Well, I have been using AOL on this netwrok for over eight years now!!! No problems!!! I have Shentel Cable DSL that all we can get here!!!! Send the disc to: David *, * ** *, *, VA ** ....... Otherwise, I will have to leave AOL for good!!
Unfortunately we do not have a CD for the AOL Desktop Gold. Please follow the steps below to download a copy of software:
1. Sign in to mybenefits.aol.com
2. Under ‘All Products’ scroll to ‘AOL Desktop Gold’.
3. Click Download Now.
4. Follow the installation steps listed below. -
HELP
Even after speaking with AOL tech support and explaining were not loading correctly nothing has been done. I was told by AOL tech support " this is how it is now" not it isn't, things are supposed to load properly. You still cannot get into any chat rooms...after reading one article my welcome screen just goes to white....so this is how it is? Really? Tech support lies just to get people off the phone. I wasted an hour today with your tech support only to be told ...this is how it is now as I sit here looking at something…
Try restarting the computer. After that log into the AOL Gold software and check if you have the latest version of the software (11.0.2066): click on Help > About AOL.

AOL Shuts Down
AOL for some reason disconnects from internet and you have to reload it this happens on more than one PC so it's not the PC so when you are on a site and it shuts down and you have to bring AOL back up it sucks.Now that we are paying for this service it should be better than this.
Please send us a crash report in order for our engineers to look into this issue. To do that, please follow these steps:
1. Open AOL Desktop Gold.
2. Click on Help on the top right, and select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu.
3. Type a short description of the problem, and click Send.For immediate assistance with this issue, please call us at 1-888-265-3733.

have an educated and intelligent person, that DOES NOT speak "computerees" set up all help on your site. as it is it only creates more problems - than a Pregnant Nun may have... I am 68 years old, 2 undergrad degrees and decades of USING a computer..and can t acccomplish - changing AOL account password, pay my bill with AOL, etc etc. etc. after 1.5 hours I gave up. and I did us my Master AOL address. OH. and have person with English as 1st lang. set up all.

Select a reason for canceling from the drop-down menu.

Try to clear the Footprints and follow the steps again.
Here’s how:
a. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu.

Try refreshing the mailbox. Click on the Mail option on the top of the desktop screen and select Refresh Mailbox from the drop-down menu.

In order to save an image from a web-page, first right-click on it, then select “Save image as”, choose the location where you want to save the image and click Save at the bottom.

When I copy and paste my error message IT WON'T paste into the report a bug section.
When I copy and paste an email error message I cannot paste it into the report a bug section so you can see it. How are you going to fix the gold issues if you won't let us send them to you?
BRING BACK v 98.2 it was PERFECTION and the Email standard of all time vs. all the others.
Please use the keyboard shortcuts CTRL+C to Copy and CTRL+V to Paste inside the Report a Bug window.
If the error message does not show up inside the window, after pasting it, it means that the error page does not allow the copy function.
In this case, please type the error message inside the Report a Bug window.

Where's the "AGREE" Button?
I've read and reread the "Terms of Agreement/Service" and nowhere can I find the button to click on to agree to anything therein. How do you expect anyone to agree with all of that stuff?
