    The intro above stopped me from completing the statement of the problem. I received over 240 e-mails from "AOL Support Help" after completing a survey about installation of AOL Gold. I discovered these only later in the day. They came in at the rate of 10 per minute at 5 minute intervals. This was documented with your Tech person, Raven, 57101084, who has stopped the flow by blocking my e-mail to your "AOL Support Help" from which the e-mails came.   2. hilite the folder your dropping file too

    its too 'plain and ancient' to not highlite the folder youre pointing to..

    also.. restore all the functionality of the old desktop for setting icons or just text. cant find that ..

    all you needed to do was clean up the old interface and keep all the functions. im likely to drop gold and use the plain interface.. not that impressed ESPECIALLY charging to drop those intrusive adverts.

    i think aol is shooting itself in its foot.. and losing the respect it eventually eared with the old desktop

  3. Stop the automatic updates till you are sure they won't break anything else!

    Every time there's an update something unrelated goes wrong. AOL just does not work. Why are we paying for this??

  5. Somebody call Consumer Hotline - Multiple Clicks to Open Mail, Search Mail that doesn't work

    We deserve better than this, with NO improvement for 4 1/2 months, Like the attorney that complains about multiple clicks, I'm a businessman, and I have to make same to open mail, switch between mail, and search mail. It's a waste of time. Verizon is one of the biggest communication companies - why would they abandon longtime AOL users like this, not make changes in 4 1/2 months, and send us to foreign lands for customer support? Wake up!

  6. Why can't you fix urgent problems that everyone is complaining about?

    Aol keeps making these small unimportant fixes but they don't attend to the crucial ones that is making everyone miserable. Things that have been reported since Gold started are still unfixed/unchanged.

  8. Password sign-on screen

    The old AOL would warn you if your Caps Lock was on. AOL Gold doesn't show that - if you input your password with Caps Lock on, you're probably going to get a password error. Go back to the way AOL 9.8.2 did it!

  9. IS AOL Gold not fully functional?

    IS AOL Gold not fully functional? I am unable to save my email folders and messages to my computer hard drive. When I click on save to my PC I get a pop up to "save folder as" but nothing appears in which to name the file folder. I have contacted AOL tech assistance via phone but no practical resolution has been available. This important function needs to be updated as soon as possible.

  10. It's apparent to me that you guys promise your clients the world and in the end give them an island

    My idea is simple rectify all the issues of concern people have or don't charge for services when you can deliver. At your rate more people will jump ship and leave AOL because your team fails to act in providing people with better service. Furthermore , I had subscribed to the SuperAntispyware I'm being charged on a monthly basis and the **** think doesn't even work . Frustrated client if I don't see a change in the near future i'm pulling the plug enough is enough. Bring back the old AOL it was awesome your new Gold version is horrific.…

  11. Browser extremely bad. Has to many problems.

    I've created thousands of free graphics on my web site. I painstakingly made sure that each graphic included the html for alt and title when people pass the mouse over the image, Have done this not only to comply with the search engines but moreso so that my visitors could rest the mouse on a graphic and get an explanation of the graphic. This works on all browsers and it worked on the old AOL. It does not work the AOL Gold browser. Works in other browsers..

    What a bunch of "****" , Gathering Information or Under Review.
    AOL GOLD has learned how to LIE.
    So many of the problems since AOL Dumped 9.8.2., could be resolved in hours. Yet AOL could Not Give One Thought to RESOLVING ANY PROBLEMS. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM ALL THE COMMENTS, Nothing is going to be resolved, till WE LEAVE AOL.
    Tim Armstrong has SCREWED PEOPLE AGAIN.

  13. Do not close this stating to contact AOL Tech as others need to read and comment on this as calling Tech has been no help.

    Mouse forward and backword buttons do not work like they did in other versions like 9.7. When will this be fixed? Mouse works fine everywhere except in the Gold Desktop. I have contacted Techs many times before and I am just told it will be reported but it still is not fixed and it has been almost a year now. It is not my computer at fault, it is AOL programming which causes this.

  15. Bring back save folder and open saved folder in the PFC

    Used to be able to saved folders from the PFC to the hard drive and used to be able to open saved folders. Now when you right click on a folder in the PFC the options are there to "Save Folder to..." or "Open Saved Folder" but nothing happens. Please get this to work!!!!!

  18. shut down your non-working system, get polite staff and start over

    internet explorer has pop ups every 2 minutes and even tho i bought some new package it does not help and your aol helpers say they cant hear me
