5. 1761 brings back "Re-enter password" after sleeping

   was happening several releases ago, got fixed, now broke again.

   When Windows goes into sleep mode, upon wakening - AOL requires password again - EVEN THOUGH on my desktop, it is remembered!! (i.e. not needed to log on)

8. Here are some errors or changes that we would like to be made to AOL Gold.  Most of these features were common in older AOL versions

   1.  Right-click and select "ignore" to send an email to "Old" mail.
   2.  Print date and web address at the bottom of printed material.
   3.  Fix the speed of the text to keep up with typing speed when composing emails.
   4.  Eliminate the nearly 100 spam emails daily.  (some are vulgar and offensive)
   5.  Graphics cannot be seen in new emails.  (Only get a long coded number instead.)
   6.  The ability to create and save font colors for emails and future use.
   7.  Stabilize playing of videos that start and stop every few seconds.
   8.  Make it possible for the website address in the address box at the top to be highlighted and copied for future use.
   9.  Allow information typed in the search box near the top right side of AOL to be highlighted and copied when desired.

11. Desk Top Software

    Your desktop software is too large a program with too many things running in the background. I travel and have weak wifi at times. The program barely functions. Also the home screen takes up too much room top to bottom for my lap top. I can't access the bottom of the email page to download attachments, save or delete.

    three really annoying things about Desktop Gold: 1. the sign on screen has my screen name in VERY small type and is black against a blue background. VERY hard to read. 2. If I click on a news panel to read an article, the video starts with sound. I am in an office where there are other things going on. I don't want it to hear that junk unless I choose to. And the "mute" option isn't an option as it start with sound then has to be muted. 3. Now the "inbox" has a "new and old." Different from webmail. if I am looking for something that I may already have read, I have to remember either to change it to "mark unread" or click on the inbox.

    Really, every time AOL "improves" things they make it worse. That's why I will eventually be migrating to Gmail.

    I have been contacting AOL for OVER 1 year (open ticket 07256897). I have continually had every problem you can imagine. Slow email sending, cannot open mail, try again, email crashes. Template issues, etc, etc. Each time I call tech support, I must wait a minimum or 10-15 minutes, go through a lengthy id process, wheras I need a text sent to my phone with a code. THEN, I need to explain my TECH PROBLEM to billing, so they can then transfer me to tech support, who has another wait. If they cannnot resolve the problem, they will say, are you there? Are you there? and then they will hang-up, knowing all well they could hear you perfectly. You then have to cal again and repeat the same insane process. What happened to wonderful AOL that I had for over 20 years. The day I was MANDATED TO KEEP to purchase Desktop Gold, was the day I started hating AOL and their new tactics of charging for a SERVICE THEY DO NOT SUPPORT OR PROVIDE. I have contacted AOL customer service over 8 times within this year to request assistance, to involve a supervisor and to respectfully request a satisfactory refund. I am STILL WAITING. I called today, because my business email address has an extensive template I utilize for sending my emails to clients. The state of Texas requires that this template contain specific license info. This morning I went to send an email and it has been mysteriously deleted from my account. I paid a web designer to install this information. When I called an waited over 31 minutes, I received a tech who was untrained in this area of expertise and pretended she could not hear me and released the call. What a freaking shame!

    I want to WHY THERE IS NO CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST AOL. I am willing to provide any documentation of my claim and refund request.

16. Lawsuit pending unless AOL stops screwing around with my system

    I have previously complained that I do not want auto-updates for Desktop Gold. In addition, I never authorized AOL to make changes to my Internet options. With each update Desktop Gold is made the default search provider. If these activities are not stopped immediately, I will have choice but to proceed with the lawsuit, and seek maximum damages under the law. The ball is in your court, don't ***** up.

18. I see I have most AOL customers in the same boat I am in with AOL Gold. I have been with AOL since 1998 & gone through all the changes & up

    To try again...I see I have the majority of AOL members thinking the same thing I do about AOL Gold...it is the worse program change I have used since my joining in1998. We don't need an inbox...it is useless & confusing. I maintain data bases of over 500+ names each. I had them all organized in my address book in groups that related to the subject matter. You destroyed my work by listing everything together in an A to Z listing. It has taken me days to reorganize them & you refreshed my book today & found invalid emails that don't exist and ones I had deleted. I still don't know if my email groups are listed correctly. The same was for my Favorite Places. I had a file for pay bills at the top of my list. It took me less than an hour to review & pay my bills. After you screwed it up, it took me hours to reorganize them at the top of my list to know what to pay & be sure I don't miss paying something. My bank name starts with a U & in a list as big as I have, I didn't think I still had my bank information online. What customer ever requested that you list all files together A to Z, undoing our organization. In this mess, you have added emails that don't exist anywhere including on AOL...one example...www.amputeeconnection.org@AOL.Com...No such item. there was another one. Then, when you refreshed my address book this morning, emails that I had deleted years ago reappeared, requiring me to inspect each of my three data bases to be sure they were in the right groups....many had to be changed before I could mail the emails. What good is it to have files in separate groups if you list pages & pages together in an A to Z format???? It is necessary to have another worker to compare our lists to be sure we have everyone in the groups they belong.....HOURS of totally unnecessary time & work I didn't do before the change to Gold. COMMON SENSE tells an intelligent worker to be sure something is better for the customer BEFORE the change is made. The only improvements I have seen that I worked with previously with no problem is that finally I can put long emails in the address book without being cut off before it is ended. The second one is that when a word is misspelled the red underling is removed when the spelling is corrected. It certainly wouldn't take a programming genius to figure those two things out. You need an excelled programmer to fix this mess & when you do it, keep your fingers off my address book & favorite places! If they get messed up again, I will be billing you for the programming expense I have to spend to get it straight & the way I want it to work, not your programmer's idiot ways. Obviously, yours have never worked in a business function where they had to find something in a hurry...called a filing system. I got a full laugh reading the one reminding the customer that they had to load Gold before March 15 or be cancelled when he had been with Gold as a Beta user for over a year. Now, that really should show you the stupidity existing in this system. As he said, the road to leaving this f***ed up system is looking very good.

19. Three ways Gold version is harder and longer to use than v9.8

    VersionGold is harder to use, requiring more clicks to do the same things as in V9.8. For instance, 1) V9.8 would automatically add an email address to SEND field by just entering three letters into the SEND field. Gold gives me my address book menu to choose from - slower and harder. 2)To add a link to email text, I first have to put the web address into a separate form, click OK, then copy and paste it into text, unlike v9.8 where I just had to copy and paste into text. 3) Also and most irritiating, v9.8 would automatically clear my search history, cookies, etc., when signing out. Gold makes me find the SECURITY subfolder in SETTINGS and manually clear history, each time I sign out. Harder and longer to use. PLEASE put those three features back into Gold as in v9.8. Be aware that users are lazy and want to do things with a minumum of clicks and going to subfolders.
