Is Your AOL GOLD running slowly? HERE'S THE SOLUTION
I had problems with AOL Gold. It was running slow, take forever for Welcome Window to open and the same with the email.
I contacted AOL tech. They took control of my computer and made some changes. Also had me subscribe to System Mechanic.
Seemed to solve the problem but the next day the same problems.
I finally found the solution researching on the web. Easy to do. Just follow the directions. I'm no techie. It will also speed up Chrome and all the other browsers. This is easy. Link below.

Inbox does NOT contain both old and new mail as stated on this board by AOL
I just read that the Inbox is supposed to contain both old AND new mail. That is not the case. My inbox lists 88 mails. However, I have 88 new mails and 300 old mails.... so the inbox should have 388 mails.

Address blue
Please eliminate the blue background of the email addresses in the TO box when sending a new mail. It is very difficult to see the email add.
Please leave it in white as the contrast is better and easier to see the content. -

The last 8 places I visited are once again not in my history. This happens almost daily. I can't revisit the pages and have to start searching all over again. PLEASE FIX THIS. iT IS MORE THAN ANNOYING, ESPECIALLY WITH EVERYTHING ELSE THAT IS WRONG. It's the double the work on everything I do on AOL Gold.

The address book of contacts in the Gold edition is USELESS!
Address Book should revert back to the old contact list which worked perfectly. Use the old abi & aby files from the former versions.

For 23 years I've used the name Judith to post on forums. I am designated by AOL as @Judith1277, lives in Des Plaines IL, works at retired. Since the advent of Gold I have lost my blue star and leader designation except where it shows up in my profile under Activity (not on the forums, however) and there are three or four other people posting as Judith - nothing else, no number after Judith, nothing, and I've received emails from friends wondering why I've changed my stance on issues. I haven't - it's one of the other Judiths. I've tried…

Put Learn back in the dropdown list for misspelled words in an email
We were able to select a word, then right click and select Learn in an email. Now we do not have Learn as an option unless we do a full spell check. Get this option back again.

When inserting a link into email from the "heart" The link should be the desired font size chosen originally for email.

Writing mail off line is preferred for me but Gold requires me to sign in before I can write.
Sometimes I write a lot of mail and I prefer to write it off line as time allows then sign on and send it later. Gold requires me to sign on before and can access my address book.
