1. Scroll bars all over the place on your interface.

   Your Save Window Size and Position does not work. Furthermore, whether I have the window maximized or not I constantly have scroll bars when nothing more is open aside from Favorites. And when this happens Favorites is nowhere near the edges to cause it. I can get rid of the scroll bars by either pulling Favorites in to make it smaller, or by stretching it out to make it larger. But then in 5 minutes the scroll bars come back. However the second I open the mailbox or anything else (even tho it is not near the edges) the scroll bars return.

4. Favorite box technical problem unsolvable

   Weeks ago, i posted the problem that the facebook box kept blocking out the left hand margin with "hearts" and names of favorite items. I was told in an aol note under my posted problem to call AOL's technical number which I did and they had NO idea how to solve the problem. So AOL should give members a way to solve problems with technical staff, or allow the problem to be posted as others are posted. My problem concerned the favorite box which kept shifting and blocking out left margin and names of favorite items while in use. Please help me SOLVE this problem and not just merge this request with my former which went nowhere toward a solution.

5. Just read below of which I TOTALLY agree with

   Just read above / below of which I TOTALLY agree.

   No wonder aol's gone out of business... and that's why you and I are having such great difficulity. Even spell check and full screen doesn't work anymore Chrome works the best and is the ONLY browser that allows me to see my Netflix and Hulu subscriptions. My best advice, instead of complaining to a brick wall, is to "Funk the Dumb stuff", (delicately put) and move on. Customer Service is at an ALL TIME LOW ! Forget trying to e mail them, (it NO longer exists), or for that matter trying to contact them by phone or what ever. With that being said, I'm guessing that since the impending doom of the former TWC, (Time Warner Cable Co.) which is now Spectrum, they've "Thrown-the-towel-in" and unbeknownst to you and me, will soon be in the headlines in National / International news which will announce that Aol has ceased operations as the original pioneers of the Internet as we now know it today.

   I've been a member since 1998 - 99 and I, (as we've both seen), their market share sink into oblivion despite FRANTIC advertising and worthless marketing endeavors.

   They've completely forgotten how to make their product WHOLE through customer service, satisfaction, and reliability.

   Fortunately for them, I'm available yesterday to correct this problem, (and I know their reading this as I type), I will Aol get back on the map but my fee FOR this CEO position will be something they probably wouldn't be able to afford, ($75-90,000 a year...HA!).

   God bless you Aol for your initial contribution and greatness back in the day, but those day's are LONG GONE should you decide not to contact me to straighten out the festering disintegration which so BADLY has destroyed a once loved corporation.

   Sorry to the reader...but I got off on a tangent and I apologize, but it kind of makes sense...Maybe not.

6. Why does 'nt AOL allow its email clients like me to use their email addresses whilst in state approved marijuana compassionate patient progr

   Why did I have to use a Gmail eddress while filing for a state approved marijuana card for medical reasons here in Florida? Why am I told it is AOL POLICY not to allow me to use my 27 year old eddress because of their governing board's stance on marijuana?

   I post an idea / comment and you guys bury it in some one else's post and then you close it to comments. Why? Because maybe it was true or too close to your comfort zone. Well I will just repost it.

   Keep providing AOL Desktop Gold for free and appreciate & respect the loyalty of your users who have stuck with you for many years like me (17-18 years). You will not gain new users by charging any amount for your desktop software. There is better email out there than AOL and you should rethink this and look pass the dollar signs.

   You are alienating your loyal users by charging a fee for the AOL Desktop Gold. Do you guys think you have a monopoly on email? Some of your loyal users may use your online email but others will just use a different email client (Outlook, etc) or worst yet for you, a different email account (Gmail). Is $4.95 a month really that important to you when you are making tons of advertising revenue already?

   I post an idea / comment and you guys bury it in some one else's post and then you close it to comments. Why? Because maybe it was true or too close to your comfort zone. Well I will just repost it.

8. Will you ever update this software to be compatible with the newer flash player?

   Every time I install the newer flash player, every time windows update installs it for me opening Aol uninstalls it and rolls it back to whatever version. It must only be compatible with a certain version, so it's forcing the damned thing on me, anything flash related causes (so ever single webpage, because they all have flash ads) my mouse to freeze, it's pretty annoying can't move the mouse for a few minutes for it to finally clear up then only do it again a few seconds later. It's gotten far worse since windows latest updates (one that ironically was supposed to fix this issue, but I guess for the newer version). I don't know why you expect us to pay for something that's pretty much rendering our pcs useless.

9. Easy way to attach photos to email & print things

   Go back to easy way to attach photos to emails & print other things without new multi-step process. I'm paying for my subscription & it should't be harder to do in Gold. I've had to contact tech support several times to figure out how to do.

11. Click to open an image in email in AOL instead of having to click the save dialog

    You now cannot click an image embedded in an email to view it. You now have to click on the file link which opens a 'save' dialog, which I should mention now conveniently opens up a advertisement laced 'save file' window. WE'RE PAYING FOR THIS for god's sake. Then you save it, then you have to click open. This is **** for my parents. AOL is a joke. You guys are beyond lucky the older generation can't learn standard web practice. It's shameful you are making them pay for this **** now as well. Once they are gone, you guys are dead in the water.

12. F5 Key does not refresh

    F5 key does not refresh pages in AOL Gold. This is a problem for me as I can't refresh pages on my website with the mouse while working on them due to No Right Click script. I've come across other sites where I've had this problem as No Right Click was allowed. Please fix this.

    You can " can improve " the AOL Gold experience by allowing a user to copy and then paste a photo from Google Images into an e-mail such as with the former version of AOL 9 . something . That's all , Simple.

15. The Gold version does not allow for open tabs to be moved/order switched.

    Previous AOL versions allowed the open tabs to moved around/ order switched. Internet Explorer, Foxfire and Google Chrome all allow the tab order to be changed. Please fix this.

17. Fix Your Flashplayer, your username service,and your window saver!

    Every time I get on Gold, the various windows I use are different sizes than what I had SAVED. THAT is NOT okay. Also, you have NOT upgraded your platform to accept the latest version of Adobe Flashplayer. I spent 2 hours with Amazon trying to figure out why I couldn't play "sample" Music on Amazon, Finally he did, after having me try every fix in the book; NONE of which worked because of AOL! The last 3 numbers of the latest version of Flashplayer are .161.Get your act together AOL, or I'm dropping you. I already had someone help set me up CHROME so I COULD sample music on Amazon. It's not as scary as I thought I was. If you can't keep up with the latest technology and adapt it to Gold, then you are of no use to me, and I'll start using chrome as my browser. Further, I am sick of having to sign in 3 or 4 times for everything on Gold because for some reason, even though I'm a PAYING customer and have been forever, you don't seem to know me or remember me.In fact, every time I go on the news site to make a comment I NOW have to type in a "nickname" because you are no longer giving me "username" service OR the "leader" designation (blue star) I once had! If you do not fix ALL these issues ASAP, I'm done with AOL!

20. Correct My Favorite Places New Folder Instructions adn make New Active all time.

    AOL GOLD has put 'Favorite Places' at 'Top' of the My Favorite Places folder.
    This has made the information to 'Create a new folder in 'Favorite Places' incorrect. Info shows BOTTOM of MFP.  New tab function does not light (work) until the Favorite Places open folder is clicked at top of list, then a two option box is opened for selection. Click new folder, name folder and it will show up in folder section of list.

    I have found that after the New button is activated an existing folder can be right clicked and a New folder can be added there.

    If a folder needs to be removed from an existing folder it can be drag/dropped into the Favorite Places open folder and will sequence itself in the folder list alphabetically.
     
    You should put the New Folder correct process in the 'Manage' pop up instead having to search in MFP 'Help' and being sent to 'AOL Desktop Software: Using and Managing Your Favorite Places' + 'How do I organize my Favorite Places?' + 'Create a new folder in Favorite Places, only to find incorrect information.

    Note that the 'New' button deactivates after My Favorite Place is closed and requires that you do the search again to get bad information or remember the process you need to create the New Folder.
