1. AOL Gold is worse than the early versions

   1. AOL freezes up all over the place. You have to shut down the entire program and restart it to get it to function again. I have top of the line virus protection. No viruses found. No other application I access behaves like this so I can say it is AOL. Most likely due to all the spam you allow on your sites.

   2. Members list STILL remains unsorted. Anyone in your IT department know how to insert a simple sort and refresh into the code? They teach this in the 101 level.

   3. Cannot add additional user/screen names? Who made that decision? Obviously not a user of AOL or a family of users.

   4. Mailbox issues and no contact list, ADs that cover content.

   5. Cannot insert hyperlinks in the chat community rooms. really aol? You mean can't find a solution to keep spammers out? People in chat rooms share life and part of that is images and other things like hyperlinks. I can post hyperlinks in any other chat room but not AOL.

   6. Now when attempting to drag your mouse across a screen of posted comments on articles, the list of "like" screen names persistently pops up if you even touching the "like" count with your mouse. It stops everything and you have go back up to the top of the screen to close the popup. Very annoying!

   7. AOL Gold delivered with less and less functionality. Why on earth do I need to pay for less, pay for ads and pay for frustration?

   There are many other problems as well. Doesn't AOL get it? People don't have to pay for garbage software! The features that kept customers loved and made them loyal to AOL for years have been discarded. Since AOL refuses to be loyal to it's customers, your loyal customers are now jumping ship!

6. This AOL Desktop Gold "Forum" is as badly organized as AOL Desktop Gold Can not find anything, it is illogical!

   AOL Desktop Gold "Forum" needs to be reorganized. Look at all the topics and subtopics. Put them all on a sheet/a page so that we can scroll over each topic to then see the subtopics and then see each person's idea which we want to agree with or tweak a little, something may have been missed, there could be other options. This FORUM is as badly organized as is the AOL Desktop Gold itself!!!

14. Since not everyone with aol was forced to accept aolgold I fully expect aolgold to provide me with all of the features that I have had.

    I want the edit feature, my choice of backgrounds, colors, calendar, etc. I definitely feel discriminated against with this substandard model. I keep getting refused when I try to send emails with pictures in them for some annoying code of numerous numbers.. I want to know why I continue to receive notices that I have not yet terminated my old aol also. It's so helter skelter if whomever is sending them doesn't even have a record that I'm already being punished with aolgold. It's continues to sound like a threat when I'm already suffering with this new zero 'upgrade'. Maybe it's a political thing since I know the owner of aol putts from the left, big time. I definitely resent this game, whatever it's about. AOLGOLD SUCKS! Nothing has been improved.
    And I'm in agreement with all of the complaints below and don't want to make calls to discuss solutions. The Technical people should be able to put things back into working order without work/effort from us, the PAYING CUSTOMERS. BBB should be checked to see if we're being discriminated against when other people remain on the aol which functions properly. The fish rots from the head. Now I can't post this unless I 'agree to terms of service' !!! How democratic of her!!!! I'll click that just to get my response processed but I do not agree to this filthy business. And this isn't the end of it. Are the freebie people taking up all of the space in aol that we've been paying for for years??? PINKO SOCIALIST

17. Need some features from AOL Desktop 9.8 back on here.

    1) - Please bring back the ability to use the Delete key on my keyboard, rather than have to use my mouse to delete a mail. In the new technology today, we are using our mouse less and less, and are able to use our keyboard for shortcuts. Seems like aol gold is going backwards on that.
    2) - If I open a new mail to share graphicsas embedded, and I have added more than one graphic, then I decide I want to remove one of those graphics and add another, AOL gold completely closes down. all I can do is to open it back up, open a new mail again, and start all over.
    3) - I don't like the option of having to close all the windows after I've downloaded attachments. It gets very tedious on my mouse, and wastes alot of time to click, click, click, to close each window.
    4) - Please give us an option to save all embedded images in mails, rather than right-click, save as for each one.
    5) - I don't like that you took away AOL chat.
    
    6) - And now there's no way to tell if our aol friends are online, when we sign on anymore.
    7) - When I open a mail, and start to type the address of who I'm sending to, it brings up all email addresses close to what I'm typing.
    I used to be able to just hit the tab key on my keyboard, to move on to the Subject Line, but now I have to use my mouse to click on the correct address before I move on to the subject line.
    8) - can no longer use our right arrow key on our keyboard to move to the next mail. Now we have to use our mouse, to click on the right arrow on the mail, to do the same thing.

    Seems that aol gold is making us use my mouse more and more, and my keyboard less and less.
    Alot of those features you took away from us, are actually making us spend more time to get the same things done.

19. Make alternate text appear when holding mouse over an image

    Distressing and inefficient. Alternate text describing images or giving other needed information does not appear when you pass mouse over image. It's like AOL is DEAD, I search via AOL by choosing images rather than web results and need to see the alternate text that was assigned to the image. This has also messed up viewing websites.

20. Attaching Files with aol desktop gold is harder than the old version 9.8.2

    To check your attachment you have to download that over and over again.. tn save then have to find where you saved it....3 more steps. Before, Just had to double click attachment and it would open
