In the lst month on AOL gold, you have added a gold bar across names in e-mail as well as the blue bar across the names I am working with. s
Give us a choice on having both blue and gold highlights on mail or just one as before. Very irritating to work with 2 highlights moving. Thank you. Tech could not solve. IT dept. problem.

Issues in aol desktop gold
There are still issues with aol desktop gold. I have complained about some of these in the past.
1) Optimize aol in covid related times. I have noticed that the software still isn't right when either reading email or reading aol news articles. The software can freeze up or be very slow to respond. I thought that these issues might be due to a bug in the software, but it may also be due to covid related times.
Since a lot of us work from home, the aol software might not be optimized to handle all the traffic from it's…

re: email please return to former format.
chrisje5959 shared this idea Please post on how you were able to get aol to > Thanks for reducing the e-mails size back to regular when I look at them.
I just want to thank you for removing the increase in size when looking at my e-mails. It shows you do read our problems and act on them. Thanks again. All of us are asking continually to please return to former format. -
AOL Gold delete SPAM goes to deleted, should go away forever like AOL web mail
AOL Gold does not permanently delete SPAM, leaving it is deleted mail where it might be accidentally accessed. This is especially sad as Gold users are often the older generation not comfortable on the AOL web mail. AOL web mail permanently deletes SPAM (unless you actually move it to the trash, so maybe a bug, too!).

not able to complete documents from urls requesting information
I many times have to download and fill documents from government
resources and other documents that require to be filled.
I would like to recommend that AOL become compatible with Edge or Chrome. It is very annoying when completing a document. Then it fails which causes the end user to switch and copy and paste into another browser and start over again. -

Please bring back AOL Desktop on macOS
While I enjoy AOL Desktop on Windows, and also use the mobile app, it would be fantastic if AOL were to bring back the Desktop application on macOS. For decades, AOL provided premium services for Mac users and that seems to have gone away. Now, with the internal rendering engine of ADG being based on Chromium, it wouldn't be terribly difficult to backport ADG to a macOS application. I would literally buy cake, coffee, etc to say thank you to the AOL dev teams if you could make this happen :)

AOL ARE COLOSSAL EXTORTIVE, IDIOTS. READ WHY
We, as AOL customers, paying for what used to be free, are now provided a substandard, trouble prone, inferior product, now with AOL GOLD, has an ever expanding global reputation as problematic junk, now moves forward to blackmail and extort its paying customers, denying program access with the advent of Microsoft .Net framework 4.8 window upon the program open, which basically locks up the AOL GOLD program until you either buy it or HIT cancel to get to your options, personal work and/or anything involving the correct operation of AOL GOLD. Beyond idiocy. If I had the money, there is…

AOL GOLD REQUIRES TOO MANY WORKAROUNDS. BAD NEWS!
BETWEEN THINGS LIKE REMOVING THE EMAIL PHOTO "PREVIEW" FUNCTION IN RECEIVED, OLD AND SENT EMAIL, THIS REMOVAL ACCOMPLISHES NOTHING OTHER THAN MORE WORK FOR CUSTOMERS. THE BOOKMARK LIST IS ALSO OVERSTUFFED WITH USELESS AND SELF-SERVING AOL GOLD COMMERCIAL BOOKMARKS AND HAS LOST ITS FLUID FLEXIBILITIES SUCH AS MOVING BOOKMARKS TO THE POSITION ON THE LIST DESIRED BY THE CUSTOMER. I JUST WONDER HOW MANY CLASS-ACTION LAWSUITS ARE NECESSARY FOR AOL AND VERIZON TO COME TO THEIR SENSES???

The new Star on the right side of the screen that shows up when you are reading an email, prevents you from accessing the bottom of emails.
please get rid of the star on the right side of the screen when you are reading emails. It prevents you from seeing the bottom of the email and saving it, deleting it etc. It is very annoying!

Buttons at bottom of each piece of e-mail -- SAVE, MARK UNREAD, or DELETE -- have become obscured by AOL upgrade.
Since the recent upgrade, the size of opened e-mails is slightly larger. This obscures the SAVED, MARK UNREAD, OR DELETE buttons at the bottom of each piece of mail. I have to use a work-around -- an extra step or 2, which is time-consuming -- to designate how each piece of mail should be handled (SAVE, MARK UNREAD, OR DELETE). I agree with other users that the new orange highlighting of mail is, at best, unnecessary and, at worst, annoying. The ineptitude of AOL never ceases to amaze.
