  3. AOL Mail snafu

    On Friday 5/27/2018 I saved an email to my "On AOL folder" in a sub folder
    On Monday 5/28/2018 not only was my "On AOL" folder empty, my address book was gone, and all sent/saved mail after 2014.
    WTF is going on with AOL.
    The only reason to keep AOL, is so much data is archived on it.... if I can't retrieve that data, there isn't much point in remaining on AOL, now is there?

  4. Offer the Enhanced features of Aol Computer Checkup to your customers.

    When I had to reinstall Aol Computer Checkup I notice the were Enhanced Features to the Program. Why does Aol not offer the enhanced features to their customers.

  5. Reminders not being sent

    Another Reminder was not sent to my mailbox yesterday. At this point more are not being sent than are. Actually, I don't remember the last one that I did receive.
    Previous to Gold I had been told to set them on aol mail/IE. What's the point of that? We pay to use the desktop software.

  6. Help

    I haven’t been able to use aol since aol gold started. I’ve gone through turning the computer over to aol (bomgar) several times, being on phone for hours. Nothing works. Get mail through other means and on iPad. They said they’d would deduct —at least a year—of the amount I’ve been paying for years, but haven’t done that either. Just hate to go through telephone call again.

  7. Blocking Pop-Ups does not work, and articles cannot then be read. FIX IT!

    Click on any article with text, and you can't read it because pop-ups ads keep popping up -- even when you've selected to "Block all Pop-Ups." And, the same ads keep coming up. I lost count of how many times I've given up and clicked out of some article. AOL is beginning to have the same reputation that COMCAST has. POOR SERVICE!

  8. My mail is all messed up.

    Spam folder disappeared but now I have a null folder. Old mail only shows posts from 7 or 8 years ago. New mail should have thousands, it only shows 1 post.

  9. please fix the mail?

  12. LEAVE MY ADDRESS BOOK ALONE!!! IT IS TAKING ME HOURS TO FIX IT EACH TIME I USE IT.

    Get rid of your idiot address book worker. Every time they mess with it, they destroy my organization. I use my addresses in a professional business way....with your screwups I am not able to maintain the groups I need to have. I have spent hours and hours almost daily fixing my groups that I have had together before. LEAVE MY ADDRESS BOOK ALONE!!!!!! I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOUR ****!!!

  13. AOL Reading & Writing our DB folder every time we start AOL software

    This file:
    "User ID.sqlite.backup-journal" in the AOL Desktop Data DB Folder killing our hard drive by reading and writing for 20 minutes every time we start the AOL software.
    Would you please find the solution to stop this annoying file from doing the above and killing our hard drive every time we start AOL.

  15. Search mail problem - Why have you closed this post??

    You gave instruction on how to search for email and closed the post. I know how to search for email. My problem is that when I search by email or entire email nothing on AOL comes up. See post below:

    Have mentioned this several times but still no fix. When searching mail by email in order to delete old mail, only mail in my PFC shows up even though there are many on AOL. Please fix this. I use this function almost daily to clean out the mailboxes.

  16. mail settings

    I have made at least eight attempts to change my font and point to a different choice. It keeps going back to a default setting. Does anyone know how to make the new choice "stick"?

    To resolve the slowness and performance issues, please try the troubleshooting solutions below:

    1. Clear the Footprints in the new AOL Desktop. Here’s how you clear the Footprints: a. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu. b. Select “Clear Footprints” from the Browser Settings. No need to wait for a confirmation message, the Footprints will be cleared immediately.

    2. Restart the computer. This helps clear the internal memory (RAM), which often resolves many issues. This article provides the steps to restart the PC: https://help.aol.com/articles/restart-the-computer

    3. Enable only the essential startup programs. Multiple programs may have been set to start automatically when a computer is turned on. These programs may cause the computer to slow down, and affect other running applications.
