web sites can't be reached, Copy text issue, spam moving,
Lately AOL keeps saying that some sites cannot be reached. That makes no sense as I can reach them through Google Chrome.
Also, when you copy something to put it in an email it puts it in twice.
When you move an email from spam to new mail it does not go into new mail right away. The number of new mail shows it is in there but it isn't until whenever it decides to go there.
None of this makes any sense.
Please use the "report a bug" option in the help menu the next time this happens. This will provide us with some helpful logging information that will help us determine the cause and put out a fix for it.

ads are making my aol horrible, nothing works except the ads.
Ever since the new sidebare with the double ads began running my AOL has slowed way down. Its almost as bad as the old dial up. We are not happy.. I have had multiple calls with techs and spent several hours trying to resolve the slow speed. nothing has helped.
AOL. needs its own troubleshooter app like System mechanic that users can run on their own to clean up or fix AOL issues.Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Lately have been getting this notice when trying to sign in to my account at Spectrum:

This feature is currently unavailable. Please try again from home or contact us for assistance. IDID-4000.Has anyone else been having this problem? Don’t know whether it’s on their end or mine but, needless to say it’s frustrating!

The one thing you folks have to do is keep email working for gold paid subscribers. And you cannot even do that! So maybe try improving that
Make AOL email work and be reliable for paid subscribers or lose them to Google.

AOL settings, Browser, Saved Passwords
I had a Remote hookup with a AOL support person yesterday afternoon 7/18/25. I was having problems logging on to a specific website (MSC Crusies.com) my Browser "Google Chrome" as my primary browser thru AOL/windows10 .Aol settings and Windows settings would just go blank and back me completely out of AOL and put me back on my main Windows10 home page everytime. Well anyway, the AOL Support person hooked me to the Remote operation mode. She tried several different operations. She also backed up my AOL Desk top and AOL and I thought AOLdata in my info. She then uninstalled…
We have identified the issue that was causing this and are working on a fix that will be delivered in an auto update

spam delete
Two agents told me AOL Gold spam deletes and goes into the recently deleted file. Not so for me and I have an AOL customer since the 1990's. This issue just started. I don't have time to delete spam mssgs then have to read and delete permanently out of my recently deleted email folder. Maybe it is time to cancel AOL.
There is an option in settings -> Mail -> Advanced -> to permanently delete mail that is marked as spam

List items about the USA, not UK!! Everything on my opening page is about the UK. I live in the USA and care little about the UK. Yet even the weather is listed for the UK.

what happened to my mcafee protection??? it tells me its expired..???
what has happened to my McAfee protection? i get notice it has 'expired" and i have to renew...???
was told in beginning this is part of my desktop gold program, but now i have to pay for it???Please call our customer service at 866-265-5070 and someone will be able to resolve the issue with Mcafee. Your subscription includes a non-expiring Mcafee subscription and customer service will be able to resolve this with you over the phone.

cefsharp.browsersubprocess.exe
Long-time customer. I was just calling about the CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess.exe. After about 3-4 minutes of trying to blame me for the problem, she literally hung up on me when I was asking a question. I pay for your service. Hanging up is unacceptable.
My anti-virus keeps blocking this program. Why can't you do something about it.

As for the cefsharp.browsesubprocess.exe concern, this process is the browser process within AOL Desktop that allows the connection to the internet. Each window/feature within AOL Desktop Gold that connects to the internet uses one of these processes for the connection to the internet. As you close windows you will see that these processes exit.
Please be sure to add cefsharp.browsesubprocess.exe to your anti-virus software allow list to avoid any frustrations with connecting to the internet.

With latest update everything lags. Took me forever to type this. Had to wait until a letter appeared to type another letter. Do you not test before you release a version? Also, getting not responding again!!! Please fix this.

Why doesn't AOL allow me to view a video without giving AOL permission to sell my information!
Why do I, as a paying AOL customer, have to agree to allow you to sell my information before I can watch a video?
Please provide us with the URL of the video you are referring to. There are no specific instances where AOL will require users to allow the selling of their information in order to view a video. Some websites will require this, but these are outside of AOL.

You can have your mailbox open each time you launch AOL Desktop Gold by going to:
Settings
General Tab on the left
Startup Tab on the top
Check the box for Mailbox

Your latest update takes me an extra 4 key strokes to delete email form Spam folder...THANKS
Why not try a beta test first?
Please elaborate on your report. There are several options for deleting emails from the spam folder. You can press the delete button the keyboard, right click and select delete or click on the delete button on the bottom of the mailbox.

You can use the "Sign Off" option on the menu at the top of AOL Desktop Gold and then uncheck the box to auto sign in from the sign in window.

i called yesterday becaus my aol gold was not appearing on my desk and a called and the tech fixed but, i now cannot elicit my mtbank on linne or from my favorites.

I see for the AOL Mail, you take security very seriously and that is great. However, could there be a 2-step verification process to sign in to AOL Desktop Gold?
