My inbox is getting more and more COMMERCIAL ADVERTISEMENTS. I pay for AOL service, I do NOT PAY TO HAVE TO DELETE unwanted email.
My idea is for you to NOT keep sending me emails that are ADVERTISEMENTS. i'M SICK TO DEATH of money-grubbing huge multinational corporations trying so desperately to get MORE AND MORE AND MORE MONEY from me, and other people with limited incomes. It's disgusting and you people ought to be ashamed of yourselves. But of course you are not, because MONEY is all that will ever capture your attention.

OK. So OATH bought you out.
Since OATH bought you, new terms and agreement popped up on sign in. OK. After agreeing to terms, why does it keep popping up every time you go to sign in? Once should be enough. Petty, I know, but irritating. Just like the three step process to sign in. No wonder people keep leaving this service. I'm darn close to it.

ADBlock Plus
My browser is FIREFOX. I recently moved from AOL 9.??? to AOL Gold. In the former I successfully used ADBlock Plus and was pleased with the results. I find that AOL Gold is much like AOL 9.?? BEFORE I installed ADBlock Plus. TOO MANY ADS in Gold. I contacted your support desk and was told that AOL Gold currently does NOT support ADBlock Plus. They suggested I submit this thru feedback.Roy

When submitting a Bug or Feedback report, why can’t AOL send an email indicating they have responded with an answer?
Finding your responses on Feedback can be difficult and I usually don’t take the time to check, since often there are no responses. All you need to do is to link our email address, which is included in our report, to your responses.

words banned from chat
Please review common words and terms that are currently banned from posting in chat rooms. For example: Magna *** Laude, a Latin term which means to graduate from college with high distinction. Also, "kitty litter" when chatting about pet cats, and "blow," as in to blow out candles on a birthday cake. Your censors apparently do not understand common English or Latin words and how they are used. There should not be any reason to prevent their posting. Not everybody's mind is in the gutter.

Get rid of the point system! It means nothing except a popularity contest and that is NOT what AOL is supposed to be!
The point system is a popularity contest and that's disgusting! If people don't like a post then, fine, thumbs down, but now giving points for the number of posts, the number of posts that are liked or read, is ridiculous, unfair, and totally disgusting. GET RID OF IT!

When contacting AOL techs by phone on problems, they tell us to use the “Bug” link to do so. This can be hopefully helpful since so many of the AOL phone contacts are unproductive and inconsistent from one tech to another. On average, most of the phone-in tech calls’ answers to tech issues are to reinstall AOL Gold, where that often is not the solution. Their tech resolving expertise is usually very shallow. They spend more time trying to sell me a protection package than trying to find an experience supervisor to answer difficult…

read mail font size
Text Font Size while reading received mail is 10pt. Tis also then controls reply font size - at 10pt. My chosen write font size is 14pt. Need to either provide separate setting for read mail and reply font size or apply the write font size to both write and read/reply mail.

ROBOFORM extensions
I have been with AOL since the early 90s, at that time I was able to use ROBOFORM. With AOL GOLD and AOL9.8 this stopped. The changes made are not user friendly as before.Take care of the people that are paying for this service. AOL GOLD needs to be revamped to the users not Corprate.

I go into help and get sent to a screen where i HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR IT!??? I have been trying to get the holidays removed from my calendar, I mean seriously HUEY LONG DAY??? Could do it before you guys IMPROVED it. Can't do it any more. Why do i pay you people? What do you do for me? This feedback screen is a perfect example. aol desktop gold running in background
Almost everytime I start aol, my hard drive light stays solid for a good 20 minutes before turning off. Is aol running something in the background that I'm not aware of?
