    I randomly experience the inability to log on. Also my version of AOL Gold does not get updated or that I have been so advised.
    know where to check for current version of AOL Gold would be helpful

    Being self employed creates enormous issues when the anomolies occur

  2. Issues still present in aol desktop gold

    There are still issues present in aol desktop gold.

    1) Icons are missing from under safety all the way to help. This only affects computers that have an amd processor.
    2) videos still play on auto on the welcome screen.
    3) No manual update for check for updates.
    4) The software causes my hard drive light to stay solid for a good 10 minutes before turning off.

    There may be other issues present still, but these come to mind.

  3. POOR PERFORMANCE

    I HATE/ABHOR AOL DESKTOP GOLD. I have never seen such a total failure of a site that was previously working well for many. For this we are paying money??? Performance is horrible and, it is NOT my computer as I've had it checked out by experts who, BTW, echo sentiments about AOL. As soon as I can find a way to transfer all my favorites, saved data, emails, contacts, etc., this 30yr customer is HISTORY. Booo Hisss AOL...shame on you.

  4. I don't like this new Desktop version. It is NOT AOL!

    I wake up this morning and my Desktop is now nothing like I'm use to. I do not like it. How can I use the OLD one where I can click on a story or just pass it by. Why has it changed? I don't know how to use this. Is this what other browsers look like? It's one of the reasons why I still use AOL. Would I have to find an earlier version?

    Make it easier to switch computers and still find AOL Gold. We upgraded to new laptop with Win 10 and now AOL Gold is missing we can't figure out how to get AOL Gold on this computer.

    I've had an AOL subscription for more than 20 years and have saved my read email chain going back to the earliest days of my subscription. I've moved, relatively painlessly, through various versions of AOL desktop from its beginnings. But AOL Desktop GOLD is clearly more about distributing ADS than it is about the needs or wants of AOL subscribers. About six weeks into my AOL Gold experience, the desktop quit working completely and I had to call for support to get it to allow me to sign on with any user name.     AOL Gold text, both email and anything using AOL interface is terrible!
    fonts are jagged, thin and basically unreadable!
    Find myself using gmail more often as the clarity of it's text is excellent.
    Please correct or you will lose another subscriber!

  10. remove Datamask by AOL

    I need to know how to remove DataMask by AOL. After it was installed, PC slowed from 70 download to 9 download speeds. Write mail has been a headache spending more time on correcting words, spaceing and sentence structure. Dell and FIOS say it is the AOL GOLD and DataMask issue. 6 months ago I was on WIN 7 and Gold with no speed or write mail or missing incoming mail. If this is not the problem will reinstall.

  13. Message appearing about whether or not something is safe; it is from someone in my Address Book...annoying

    I am tired of a message appearing on my emails FROM PEOPLE IN MY ADDRESS BOOK who are forwarding attachments to me. Why do I get this message on an email from a bona-fide person in my Address Book? Just tired of these nosy messages. They are NOT HELPFUL AND THEY ARE ANNOYING!

    since you did a security update on my account i cannt get my primary accounts mail to load,as soon as i hit mail it switches to my secondary account and i cannt get to the primary mail.

    Support already ended conversation( HUNG UP ON ME) without solving problem. Very disappointed in Tech support.

  17. Can't upload pictures.

    If I upload pics from camera or phone then click "Show Them" all is fine but they never get put into a folder under My Pictures. Did a mandatory update and hasn't worked since then.

    Don't fix things unless you can make them better and not create work for your subscribers. Grrr Something happened on AOL Gold, etc. that has screwed up all of my passwords: bank, Facebook, AOL. I am so irritated.

  19. Get immensely better at what you are supposed to be doing

    You have been shut off now for 20 minutes and I have no access. Three other browsers are working. This is unacceptable and I will now begin looking for a new source of internet after using AOL solely since getting the internet many, many years ago. ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
