  1. This awful softwear makes me sign in every time ON MY OWN COMPUTER plus pay a monthly fee.

    Now it is asking me for my phone number and when i put it in, I am told you will not accept it. I am ready to scrap this and start with a good email service like gmail. old aol was MUCH better than this.

  2. Please check the filtering system in the Mail Settings.

    We tried to set up the filtering system and save it to another named folder, but it does not recognize any name that we created and gave us a message that no name was entered in the Search window".

  4. Difficulty Accessing Emails

    Lately when I sign in I get two to three windows with my emails. Need to delete several in order to access. In addition, emails are constantly loading, then the system freezes. I need to sign out and re-sign in again. I have been an AOL user for years. This is getting real tired. Also, of late, only the current day of emails is available. Where are they rest of them? Why do I need a day for all of them to come back or not receive a message that my emails are not currently available?...for an entire day? The…

  5. So, Are we having problems again? I cant access any emails after 4/10

    I was passed around to four different reps given three different "temp" passwords to use. finally was told that access was not granted to my account due to so much activity (duh after four AOL reps I am not shocked) and still can't sign on to my master name. Thanks AOL

  9. Error:Sender address rejected: not owned by user. I get this error when trying to set up our billing program to send automatic e-mail.

    Trying to set up our billing program (CUSI) to send automatic e-mail responses. We've had CUSI installed on our computer for 3+ years and now are trying to set up the e-mail function.

    We provided CUSI with our AOL account credentials to allow AOL to send the automatic e-mail's. The billing program can log into AOL, we don't have an issue until the e-mail is trying to send. We get an error message as follows:

    Sender address rejected: not owned by user
    Failed when sending MAIL

    Please set a default email signature in AOL Desktop Gold:

    1. Click the Mail menu at the top of the window.
    2. Click Set Mail Signatures.
    3. Select the signature you want to set as the default signature.
    4. Click Default On/Off. A blue check mark appears next to the signature name.

    Regarding the Favorites issue please call the AOL Desktop Gold team at 1-888-265-3733 in order to have one of our Technical Support agents investigate this.

  12. Write new software and throw Gold into the ocean. Still having problem with the software not uploading/sending emails. Gives "try again in 5

    Return to old software and abandon Gold. It is terrible. Doesn't give or send email quite often. Gives "try again in 5 minutes" warnings. Also deletes my signature quite often and I have to re type it. Really awful, and they make us pay for this pain. Looking at Gmail.com.

  13. make easy fix for users moving bace to windows 7 from win 10. Lost all my mail folders, my backup did not restore these items.

  14. What's with the icons in the toolbar that I keep removing and come back at next startup?

    I keep removing these pointless icons I never use, but start AOL "MOLD", and they just keep coming back. How do you get rid of them PERMANENTLY ?

  15. I get up every morning and sign on immediately to make sure nothing else is screwed up.

    I get up every morning and sign on immediately with my fingers crossed--- even before making coffee--- to make sure nothing else was screwed up. It seems that several times a week I discover that something else went bad. Yesterday I found that there are TWO AOL programs listed in Task Manager. It's not enough that this AOL GOLD is so heavy that it is eating up the resources on my hard drive?? A few days before that I found that my settings to comment on news articles were suddenly grayed out. Other things have gone bad. Many other things.

  17. Every time I edit a comment it disappears!

    Every single time I edit my comments on the website, usually for just a spelling error, the whole comment DISAPPEARS, permanently. I can't even access my profile, or even see the comment when I access my Username.! NOTHING WORKS RIGHT ON GOLD. IT STINKS! GO BACK TO THE OLD AOL!

  18. I suddenly have 2 AOL logos in my tray, and 2 aol.desktop.exe*32 programs in Task Manager.

    In Task manager at sign on, I see one AOL program running at 112,128.... and the 2nd one running at 10,336.

    This had to happen with your last Beta download. Please fix this. As it is, AOL takes up an enormous amount of space of my hard drive. Don't tell me to clear my browser. I did that many times since I noticed this.
