AOL desktop Gold is working so slow. Hoping that this will fix soon. Thank you
Please fix this

To resolve the slowness and performance issues, please try the troubleshooting solutions below:
1. Clear the Footprints in the new AOL Desktop. Here’s how you clear the Footprints: a. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu. b. Select “Clear Footprints” from the Browser Settings. No need to wait for a confirmation message, the Footprints will be cleared immediately.
2. Restart the computer. This helps clear the internal memory (RAM), which often resolves many issues. This article provides the steps to restart the PC: https://help.aol.com/articles/restart-the-computer
3. Enable only the essential startup programs. Multiple programs may have been set to start automatically when a computer is turned on. These programs may cause the computer to slow down, and affect other running applications. I pay for AOL Gold, Its performance is terrible.
I switch to AOL free, and its much better.

Desktop Gold is extremely slow and choppy...windows I adjust keep reducing in size every time I delete or anything and I have to resize them. This is not an improvement, but seems like very bad programming..not up to standard...sigh...I have to agree the old AOL was far superior.

Not terribly impressed "looks" improved, but sign on and other issues seem as slow as dial up. Been with AOL & Time Warner (now Spectrum) for 20 years, but this is undeserved ~ bad browser reaction that you have to pay for? Yikes!!! Have I died and gone to AOL ****? lol j/k

AOL Gold is extremely unstable. How long will it take for you to fix ALL the problems that come with this new product. Bring back the old AOL and add improvements if you like - instead of trying to fix something that is unfixable. Please give your customers a choice if they want AOL Gold or go back to what they had before. Thank you

I seldom complain about things that I have no control over, BUT, in this case, I have tried to recap some of my major complaints and suggestions for what for your tech team to acknowledge. Seriously, this AOL Gold product is much inferior to what I was using in the Fall. I have always been an AOL user - more than 20-25 years. I have experienced many product upgrades in my lifetime. This is the the first product "upgrade" that resulted in a severe product downgrade - especially from a user's viewpoint. I'm real disappointed in your AOL GOLD product that came to us with very little warning. I know, you will send this to your tech team; in the meantime, we users need some real assurance that your Gold Version will significantly improve.

The bar just above this box could not keep up with my typing -- I type with two or three fingers. This version is much, much slower in almost every way, than the previous version. Much slower in opening emails and sending emails. I get better service with speed of deleting emails and reading emails using my iPhone. This is not satisfactory and you should know it. I believe non of these problems can be helped with your Help Site. One more thing: Why did you discontinue the "Saved on my PC" feature without any warning? To get my previously save on PC email back took over 20 hours on my desktop and on my laptop. And, one of your agents said that emails could not be added to it.
I totally agree with other comments to go back to 9.8.2!
In summary, I hate to be so negative sounding, but this version is a significant regression instead of a progression. It looks like you are trying to drive us long time users away from use of AOL. It's not as good as it was in the old days.

Every time i start AOL Gold it starts writing to the hard drive and use 95% for one hour.
This is very bad for the Hard Drive.
Would you please fix this problem.
I don't want to break my hard drive because of your messed up software -

It is slow! There is no default to set new email to the bottom. There is so much missing. This a horrible mess. You want me to pay for something that doesn't' even work nearly as well as the old free versions! *******!

Give us back the OLD version, till you FIX this "golden" one. It is SLOW, and you arranged our FAVORITES, your way. I have about 1500-2000, favorites, who wants to place in new folders just because you people like it this way. Give us back the OLD ONE and then, FIX THIS MICKEY-MOUSE NEW VERSION.

Revamp aol gold- make it work It almost is like a "cartoon" version of aol
I believe customers like me will leave for sure. Why is someone from management not saying " we don't want to loose customers"
I hope you can fix the product & realize that paying for something would mean its better not worse than a product that was free. Thank you for listening. -

I have been with AOL since 1998, CHANGE this version, CHANGE it before you begin lose customers. It stinks, SLOW RESPONSES, FAVORITES, .etc.

AOL Gold has been extremely unstable for 2+ days now. Suggest you fix your mediocre product asap. I have no problem other internet providers. You know: your competitors. Please fix the mess.

I am paying way to much to endure the advertising. Old version was MUCH better. It takes three screens just to log in. Also, the mail does not work well at all. I have to individually high lite every move, from reading to deleting, to permanent delete. The edit>select all function does not work. Both the old v9.8 and the newer Shield work SO much better and quicker!! I am tired of being force fed these so called "services" that I don't want or need.
