get rid of all these ads running constantly. don't you make enough money by double charging us? we have to pay for use & "security", yet i still have tons of spam in my mailbox...your system apparently cannot discern a real e-mail address from something like "au#vrbdkos.uk". what kind of "security" on your system is that???

I want to know why I have so much advertising. I pay for the premium AOL and can get it for free if I wanted to do so. Premium payers should not be subjected to so much advertising. We are already paying you.

AOL has done nothing to stop these emails from coming. It makes you have to spend time each day trying to stop the infinite number of spam email addresses.
-
RONALD K GRESS commented
They make you block each spam email individually and give you only a 1000 addresses you can block. Figure out how long it takes to block one email - let's say 10 seconds/per spam email, and you get 110 spam emails a day, that's over 18 a minutes a day. Aol doesn't seem to care. They are making money letting these spamphishing and gross emails flow to its customers.

I activated Add-Free Email for one of my ...@aol.com email address. Yet just today so far I have received 85 advertisement email and it is not even 3:30 pm. Run, don't walk from AoL. Start looking for other email providers. I am. I have tried to get AoL to better serve their customers by addressing spam/phishing emails and they have done NOTHING.

I am tired of getting dozens of emails that are ads each day and will start looking for a new email service.

IT seems to work for a day and then the ads start up again. I have 3 email addresses and am only using the benefit in one, so why is that address getting these ads?
-
RONALD K GRESS commented
Tired of getting paid ads and the benefit that is to stop them doesn't.

I do not have an idea what I have is a complaint that I have ads showing up in my email space and I would like for this to stop. I did not sign up for this and it is very annoying because some of them I find offensive.
I have been an aol customer for over 30+ years and I never had to deal with ads like this. I have gone into the privacy area and I have not been able to stop this from happening.
What do I have to do to stop this? -
claudioricci66 commented
Your last update included a new switch username box which aside from annoying ads also automatically checks the save password box. We never save passwords and now have to remember to uncheck this box. This decision should be an option for the user not automaticlly checked. Please make the change

This very annoying. I am not paying a monthly fee to be bombarded like this. STOP THE ADS!
-
Alex Stephens commented
Since 1988, marketing and advertising is and has been part of AOL's core business practice. They supplement the small fees we the users pay with additional income from advertising revenue. We don't have to use AOL. Personally, I choose to, but that means I accept it for how it comes. Chill out.

I pay for AOL, I hate this new format. I hate seeing a big ad with my tiny list of 6 email names below. I hate that when I leave one of my email accounts to sign on to the next, they all look the same. The one I am currently on is not highlighted. So if I forget which I just read, I find myself repeatedly signing back in rather than going on to the next email account. What was wrong with the previous format. The new one is not customer friendly. Did I mention I hate it! Please return to the old format.
