Restore the old spam settings. Now we only have one setting.
First you took away stationery and vast choice of fonts, emojis, etc. Then you changed how mail is set up (from new, old, sent, spam, deleted mail to current style) and the Spam settings from numerous choices to only one (blocked). it seems the longer we continue to PAY for AOL Gold, the less we are getting for our money. I see by the Feedback that I'm far from alone in feeling AOL Gold does not seem "golden" to your PAYING customers.
Hey,
Wanted to let you all know that you now have the ability to block mail from unwanted senders. Please click the link here to learn more: https://help.aol.com/articles/keep-your-inbox-clean-by-blocking-unwanted-mail-in-aol-desktop-gold

PUT THIS THING IN REVERSE AND BACK UP TO 9.8.2..... I used to waste around $19.99 a month for technical support and now only $12.99 for NO SUPPORT. And, thanks for not letting me block dozens of SPAM every friken day.........

Most messages are from foreign countries (i.e., de, ru, etc) or rarely used domains (.tv, .info. net etc) .Why can't you make simply make a long list of domain check boxes that you don't want to get and be able to check off such domains . This would be so much easier to stop spams. And popular ones like .edu, .com, you can drag and drop them into a spam block box without having to dangerously having to open it.
And why not be able to stop the same spams that arrive repeatedly starting after '@' ampersand sign with the name of same store/company. Like: xxxx@SameDailySpam.com. I'd want AOL to block all spams that I get every day: @SameDailySpam.com regardless of whatever name comes before '@' ampersand sign.
These two suggestions would severely stop spam.
PLEASE DO THIS AND SEND OUT A POST TO ALL USER OF THIS IMPORTANT FEATURE!!!!

PLEASE!!! A very simple idea regarding spam. Instead of having to dangerously open spam to capture and copy the address into SPAM CONTROLS under Mail Settings, why not highlight (Press 'CTRL' key [or 'SHIFT' key) and then mouse click to highlight all spams messages and drag and drop.
Also, most messages are from foreign countries (i.e., de, ru, etc) or rarely used domains (.tv, .info. net etc) .Why can't you make simply make a long list of domain check boxes and be able to check off domains you don't want to receive. This would be so much easier to stop spams.

It's not an idea. It's a problem, AND, I'm paying every month for AOL Gold. Why bother if this continues. Or don't you give a ****????? Majority (98+%) are for garbage I'm not even acutely interested in.

I have complained before, and all you've done so far is to merge my comments with others.

I receive more junk mail from AOL than the Post Office, it's getting obnoxious. Adverts are taking over the news articles. It **.

Spam is out of control! We used to be able to limit our email to people in our address book, and we used to be able to input words that would filter objectionable words to the spam, and we used to be able to set delete all spam automatically. I get more than 10 spam per hour lately. It is because your click bait ads sell our email addresses to spammers. Fix it! this is way beyond insane. You already have the programs that will do this, just put the controls back!

If an e-mail address such as UnknownSender@UnknownDomain is not valid to block, why isn't it stopped before it even goes to the spam in box?

I have already received about 30 spam emails, and it isn't even 11 a.m. yet. Each email is a different address, so I can't block them. Are you going to do anything???

Spam filter needs to be able to block complete domains. I am getting 20 to 30 pieces of spam daily from a german domain .de I do not get real mail from anybody at this domain. The url is so long it would take me an hour to type into block sites plus they are always different.
I have been with AOL since 1999...I may cancel. -

This should be simple, it was for many years in 9.8 and earlier. Why don't we have the name blocking back, as promised over a year ago? Just having e-mail address blocking is not enough. There is too much Spambot activity right now as well! Please listen and help us. I've been with AOL since 1996, so I know the history.

Please fix the spam avalanche that has just started up again. Tons of nonsense letters@ wherever they want keep piling into our mail boxes. AOL should be able to filter these out automatically and not let them through. Give us back our email controls. You took away the option for getting email only from those in our address book...that alone would end the deluge of nonsense. What we have now is total chaos.
