SPAM SETTINGS - WHY DID YOU CHANGE???

Spam Settings have been changed to only ONE option, that is to block mail from the Sender Filter. The old spam settings allowed you to receive mail from addresses I specify. This feature is very useful. With the new spam settings, I will now receive ANY mail, not blocked. And no, I can’t be blocking all these unknown emails; they change constantly.

PLEASE, FOR GOSH SAKES !!! TAKE THIS "OATH" CREW AWAY FROM THE PROGRAMMING. THEY ARE SO SCREWING UP A GOOD THING. THEY DON'T **** ABOUT WHAT THEY'RE DOING. DO YOU PEOPLE EVER READ ANYTHING YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING ??????

I have used AOL for years. As a matter of fact, goes back to the middle 90s. Only service I have ever used, but now looking at g-mail. I have sent e-mails out to our church for years, never having any problems with number of recipients. Now all of a sudden, I have to subdivide the list into small groups, so the spam filter will not block it going out. At one time you could get it changed so they would not block you, now I was told to put it in smaller groups and it will go, and I have to pay for this. I wonder if there is one of the old CDs floating around that I could load an old AOL and use it. Thin ice!!!!!

confirming email deletes must have some idiots idea. Of course I want it to take twice as long to delete some ****** emial, NOT. Stop it now.

I agree that AOL is getting worse every change. I can not, and will not continue to use it if I have to confirm every email I try to delete. I have been on AOL since you had to pay for it originally (on dial up) and only had one screen name. I do not need a bunch of junk like emoji's, colors, or a large number of fonts. The reason I pay for it is because I hate the monochrome interface of my gmail, and other email accounts, and using AOL through mail.aol.com. Please fix it, and consider less ad density, cookies and other **** that makes the experience of using AOL something that I regret having to pay for. WOW - read the terms of service - you obviously do not value your members!!! I also hate the changes you have made to the SPAM settings.

Now I don't get SPAM in my folder at all since the filter now only can BLOCK senders and the rest of the garbage goes right to the INBOX.. WTF???

How interesting that if I access AOL via Outlook that the options for stationery and more emojis are there. Accessing AOL through AOL Gold .. no stationary, limited emojis and absolutely no art options for birthdays, holidays, etc.

Also why do I need to click twice to get rid of unwanted or deleted mail? Service is getting worse and worse. If I wasn't so entangled with my AOL id being used in hundreds and hundreds of other accounts I would stop using AOL now!

I totally agree with the other commenters. I used to get 3-5 spam emails. NOW I get 50-100 each day. I tried manually blocking some, but there is only one allowed. How can this be? Correct this ASAP.

Now, youve just changed something again? Now I have to make 2 clicks to get rid of unwanted mail? WTH

Wow. After reading all the comments below, I see I am not alone. Why don't you listen to all these complaints and do something about it!! The new spam controls are ridiculous, very ineffective. I also have a gmail account and it might be time to switch.

I am totally unsatisfied with the new spam controls; they are completely useless! In the past, I was able to filter unlimited words and addresses with only part of the names followed by an asterisk.

fix number of multiple emails that need to be sent our weekly to at least 500 at a time. I send frequent emails weekly and can not do so now. I copy and past a list of emails out but can not do so now and the server locks me out

We need the old way of privacy setting for our mail. YOU ONLY GIVE US ONE OPTION,, which means we are getting tons and tons of garbage in our email. Before there used to be a filter where it was high, medium & Low,, or only allow AOL subscribers. PLEASE GO BACK TO THE OLD WAY,, BECAUSE WHAT YOU HAVE NOW IS ONLY ONE SETTING AND IT SUCKS.

Yahoo and AOL married has caused our security to be jeopardized.. AOL was ALWAYS security diligent but Yahoo not so much..

AOL desktop Gold allowed options in the Spam folder.. I DO NOT WANT TO RECEIVE EMAIL FROM ALL THE 2, 3, 4, AND MORE PARTIES BECAUSE IT ALLOWS VIRUSES INTO OUR SYSTEMS.

I want to be able to tell who I want to receive mail from... thereby, eliminating all the 2, 3, 4, etc. parties that our mail addresses are passed to around the world. Please return my spam folder as it was prior to your 'escalating' my account... You actually escalated the AOL Gold Desktop into security **** & if you think this is going to get me to buy your security offered - WRONG. I will quite paying the $29 a month and use msn,., since my security protection has already been comprised.

Your spam setting are now worthless. Restore ALL the settings that we used to have to control spam. Why does AOL continue to get worse instead of better. Charge us a monthly fee for AOL Gold garbage but give less service....pitiful. SMH.

Sick of getting spam now directed to my mailbox.I don;t know why the change but I can certainly change to another email service. I have had AOL for about 15 years and this is the worst thing to happen to this service.

what happened to the setting "only receive email from my address book" sick of the vulgar spam, added addresses to be blocked but they still end up getting through.

email control removed/changed is very detrimental to using aol as email. No user requested this change. It required a decision based on nonuser requirements. Bad decisions can be corrected. Only time will tell if users will stay or try other email facilities.
