Restore the old spam settings. Now we only have one setting.
First you took away stationery and vast choice of fonts, emojis, etc. Then you changed how mail is set up (from new, old, sent, spam, deleted mail to current style) and the Spam settings from numerous choices to only one (blocked). it seems the longer we continue to PAY for AOL Gold, the less we are getting for our money. I see by the Feedback that I'm far from alone in feeling AOL Gold does not seem "golden" to your PAYING customers.

Hey,
Wanted to let you all know that you now have the ability to block mail from unwanted senders. Please click the link here to learn more: https://help.aol.com/articles/keep-your-inbox-clean-by-blocking-unwanted-mail-in-aol-desktop-gold

As a senior woman, all of the spam emails directed to helping men have better sex is disgusting! I also have comcast.com email and never receive these types of spam.
Also get hundreds of "attempted to reach you" messages. Surely AOL can prevent these emails.

Is it possible for SPAM mail to be deleted and not able to get the same spam the next day? The address (@) changes, but the email still get through. I get over 100 of these spam mails everyday!
Thank you -

Why do I have tons of spam in the spam folder when I am paying for a mail service? Seems the fees should at least offer skilled programming who know how to restrict spam coming from the same configuration of mail addresses.

I'm up to over 160 spams a day and wouldn't you know AOL keeps trying to sell some kind of spam eliminator for ten bucks a month. This is a tactic organized crime uses.

Blocking spam is very poor with AOL

Provide an email option under "Block Senders" to allow blocking of an entire domain. Most junk/phishing emails come from sites that generate temporary email names: *@somesite.*** would eliminate a lot of junk.

I must have written over a thousand letters concerning spam and BOTS
And whatever things you guys try to do it just doesn't at work I giving you some bright ideas and happy ideas and you just ignore them and you keep doing the same thing only in the end to get the same complaints and results from people
AOL has to go to an automated thing where it emails the user back and ask them they are just the three digit code for their mail to continue to go through EarthLink has done it already you guys can do it too
What is the freaking problem all this stuff that you have does not work this stuff is computer-generated and it just keeps coming through the only way that's going to stop it is for you all to do the automated thing to wear nothing comes through unless the user enters the three digit code in order for them mail to go through you know it's like the image test to prove that they're not a BOT all the money that people are paying you to use this silly service and you guys just sit there and let all this BS comes through it's very annoying and very frustrating
As you can see from the screenshot all the usernames are the same they keep changing the domain so blocking the domain is Duck Soup it's literally Duck Soup does not do nothing
It doesn't have an effect on the box they keep using the same username but a different domain these things generate 1,000 domain names per second and you can't beat that nobody can the only way to stop them is to do a generated code telling the user to enter for their email to be process
You guys are hardheaded pigheaded I don't know what's going on over there but you really need to get your acts together again all you're doing is ******* off all your AOL users by allowing this BS to come through🙄 -

Why am I getting bombed with SPAM in my mailbox?? I had over 150 spam emails in my mail box the past couple of days!! I send them to spam and delete all and there they are again. Hard to believe you treat "paying" users with no regard. If by chance this is a bug then FIX IT........It's **** -

Why can AOL do nothing about junk mail, especially the hundreds you get from like " Renters-Info XXXXX, they are all spam junk mail????

AOL, do something about these addresses!

douglasgerb commented
getting tons of email that get around your 'blocks'..with addresses like renter-59554@...whatever they are selling....your blocking system does not recognize it.
-
douglasgerb commented
People have figured out how to get around your block. Make words block addresses rather then a complete email address.
