I don't like having to agree to delete an e-mail. It's one step that is annoying.

In order to disable the prompt, please follow these steps:
1. Open the AOL Desktop Gold and sign in.
2. Click on the ‘Mail’ menu on the top left.
3. Select ‘Mail Settings’ from the drop-down menu.
4. Uncheck ‘Confirm before deleting items’, and close the window (changes are saved automatically).

very stupid to have to confirm each new mail deletion. Never had to do this with old aol edition. Press delete and it was over , now each one has to be confirmes. Very Dumb

Thanks AOL for making my life that much harder. When you delete an e-mail it asks you if you are sure. Than you have to go into the deleted folder and go through the whole process again four operation to delete 1 email STUPID!

yes, it is enough that we have one delete on inbox and one permanently delete on trash we do not need another box coming up on each e-mail saying are you sure you want to delete this yes or no...it is very annoying and time comsuming we do not need it...one is enough and it does it to every e-mail...no thank you...it is annoying enough that you now have the advertisement on the right side of e-mail box instead of on the bottom so we can hide it so we do not see it...so that extra box that you just started when deleting e0-mail we do not need when you delete goes to trash and if you did it than you can restore it then...lets get rid of that it is junk...thank you...better the other way like it was...thank you....

This desktop gold is awful..just a heads up. Log into another browser and delete your emails from there. You can delete a zillion with one click. This new hit and check is stupid and takes too long. Never will I log into my desktop.

When I want to delete an email, I click "delete". Now lately another screen pops up asking "are you sure". Get rid of "are you sure" please.

go back to one click delete on laptop computers or check marks on all you want to delete and only have to hit delete once

How many times do I press yes to delete e mails? At least two times per e mail. Do you think AOL would fix this? No. AOL will respond, if I am lucky, telling me it is the users fault. Will keep you updated.

Last week it became VERY inconvenient to delete and permanently delete emails. Now a yes or no question must be answered in order to delete each one! Sometimes I must permanently delete 20-30+ emails daily! Please return to being able to delete without answering those questions.

How about restoring the "status" button on our email so that we can verify that it was read, rather than implement this stupid and annoying "Are you sure you want to delete" every time I WANT to delete mail ???????

Why do I get a message asking "Are you sure?" every time I want to delete something, including emails and spam? Who thought up that idea? It's not part of the free AOL versions, only this awful "GOLD" version.

Why did you change the delete systems so that when I want to delete email, it asks if I want to delete it and I have to say yes twice. Once was bad enough.

On AOL Gold you have to go an extra step to delete an email. On other platforms AOL does not require this extra step. What gives, we know when we want delete an email item. Quit wasting everyone's time.

I never delete an open e-mail as I get a warning if I'm sure I want to delete it. I would delete it from the mailbox instead because I never got that warning until a couple of days ago. This is completely unnecessary. If I mistakenly delete an e-mail I can recover it by clicking on recently deleted e-mail. I now have to go through an extra step to delete emails. I'm not happy about it.
