I don't like having to agree to delete an e-mail. It's one step that is annoying.
In order to disable the prompt, please follow these steps:
1. Open the AOL Desktop Gold and sign in.
2. Click on the ‘Mail’ menu on the top left.
3. Select ‘Mail Settings’ from the drop-down menu.
4. Uncheck ‘Confirm before deleting items’, and close the window (changes are saved automatically).

What have you done? Today (2 Nov) I now have to confirm deletion of an email before it will delete. And I have to do the same from the "deleted mail" folder. You have now doubled the work necessary each time to fully delete an email.
This is unacceptable. Change it back now - or give me the option to select the old method
I totally agree !! Is there someone running AOl who is trying to annoy customers with pain ********** added clicks...........PLEASE STOP !! ITS EXTREMELY ANNOYING--FIRST WITH THE SIGN IN AND NOW WITH DELETING EMAILS !! MY suggestion would be try to improve the system rather than screwing around with things that are working fine.
Lordy - It now takes 4 separate actions to delete one freakin' email. 6 actions if you've opened it and moved to another.
Is AOL actively trying to get we paying customers to leave???? Keep it up - make it less pleasant and more difficult to use while putting up with the ridicule of others!

Bring back ONE CLICK ONLY to delete email.

What an outrage that we have to click an extra time to delete an email now! What is wrong with the aol people? They are torturing us! PLEASE put it back to the way it was and let us go one with our lives. This is beyond insane.

PLEASE restore the ability to delete e-mails with just one click, rather than having to answer "Are you sure . ." for EACH e-mail I want to delete!!
Revert to old one click to delete e-mails.

Ladies and Gentlemen: I have been your customer for some 25 years. All this time, your email has been working poorly. I am not going to go into details now and your people assured me in the past that they are aware but can do little about it.
This morning, the latest modification take the cake: I had 74 new messages and God knows how many previously read messages, all of which I needed to delete. You NOW REQUIRE ME TO CLICK THREE IF i WANT TO DELETE A SINGLE MESSAGE. First TO HIGHLIGHT IT, SECOND TO DELETE AND THIRD YOU ASK ME WHETHER I REALLY WANT TO DELETE THIS PARTICULAR MESSAGE.
THAT IS TOTALY UNACCEPTABLE AND EXCEEDINGLY TIME CONSUMING, apart from the fact that your email on my super duper computer is very slow and a single message, intermittently, takes up to several seconds to delete.
THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: Enable highlighting a whole group of messages to be deleted. The click and Delete and then you can ask whether I want to delete.
IN ADDITION: You need to talk to your staff that puts on the daily news. Who cares whether some starlet has a new boyfriend or is pregnant. WHO DO YOU THINK YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE? Please stay away from irrelevant nonsense.
I hate this new delete system, get rid of it.

When I want to delet mail, I do not what a 2 step process, I want to the delete on the inbox screen only
Remove the delete mail confirmation button you just added. When I hit delete it should remove the mail not ask me again if I would like to remove it. Keep it simple AOL! If i delete something and make a mistake I can go to deleted mail and restore it!
make it so you can copy and delete multiple emails in the list rather than one by one and having to confirm .... I get hundreds of emails a day and this is just too time consuming
Please change it back to one click to delete my emails. You continually change little things to annoy us that make no sense.
Get rid of the 'are you sure' each time to delete an email, very annoying. Can we delete in bulk?
Let me delete the line item without asking if I want to delete it.
I agree. Having to click on "Yes" for each deleted email is a pain in the neck. It is time consuming too. Why does AOL always force this stuff upon us but they think nothing of taking away things that we enjoy such as "Mail Art" They told me it would be back soon. That was a year ago.

Forever, I only had to click one time to delete my email....THANKS TO AOL, now I have to click TWICE!!!!!!! "WHY'????
asking if you want to delete a e mail is a waste i wouldnt delete if i didnt want to
When did deleting email become a 2 step process? I want to hit the delete on the inbox screen only once.
OMG - AOL is trying to go down in flames. Now you have to click twice to delete your new mail. With over 100 emails a day, that just doubles the email time. I don't have time for that. It must be designed for old people who don't get many emails. Of course, that is AOLs base. This will send me to gmail if they can't fix it or give 2 different options.
