I have a couple of troubleshooting steps for you that should resolve this issue:

    1. Clear the app’s cache
    2. If you’re signed in, tap the Settings icon, tap Manage Accounts, then tap Edit, tap Remove
    3. Restart your mobile device
    4. Uninstall and reinstall the app with the latest version
    5. Lastly, switch the internet connection from WiFi to mobile data

After you’ve performed these steps, should you still encounter this issue, please reach out to our support team at aolmailquestions@aol.com.

  2. To replace my account that's never been deactivated, due to inactivity. your account should never be deactivated, for no cause whatsoever!

To not deactivat nobody's account whatsoever. because all of my important emails are on my account. and now its vanished into thin air, but it's still active and I dont know the number that it was associated with, so they don't want to retrieve it for me, and that pours gravy!

    2. Restart your mobile device
    3. Uninstall and reinstall the app with the latest version
    4. Lastly, switch the internet connection from WiFi to mobile data

  4. Put back + allow users to click on the previous android notification "You've Got mail" which is now sadly missing!!!

Where's the old notification previously on android - "You've Got mail" which is now sadly missing!!! You can't choose it by clicking any more and are just left with Androids own 'naff' notifications. I cant hear my AOL mail notifications properly any more. Certainly no good without it for the hearing impaired.

  5. decrease the time it takes news stories to load.

News stories take too long to load. Perhaps a text only version (or minimal graphics) option would speed things up.

We understand that this must be frustrating for you! In the current version of AOL you are required to provide a mobile phone number in the registration process. We apologize for the inconvenience, but AOL is just doing its best to protect your online safety. It’s extremely important to have updated information should you ever need to change your account settings, reset your password or contact AOL customer support.

Please go to the device’s Settings – Apps – and tap on each browser you have installed on your device (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, native Android Browser, Opera etc.) and go to “Open by default” and tap on “Clear defaults”. The next time you try to sign into the AOL App, you will be asked with what browser you want to open the login screen, and you can choose Google Chrome, and let us know if the issue persists. Thank you.

In the AOL app you can only change the edition of it by going to Settings > Edition.
You will have to make sure that the language of your device is not set to French. To check that go to Settings(on your device) > General management > Language and input

  16. after I search for junk mail "xyz" allow me to select all to delete

when trying to clear out/ clean up my in box I often find hundreds of notifications from one sender that I can delete. It's easy to search for emails from the sender however, I have to select each one individually in order to delete a handful at a time. Search, select all and delete would be a nice feature would like to get my in box under 999+

AOL Mail on the AOL app lets you delete messages either one at a time, or group a bunch together and do a mass delete.

    Here’s how:

    1. Tap the Mail icon

    2. Tap the folder your message is in.

    3. Tap the box next to the messages you want deleted.

    4. Alternatively, tap Select All after selecting the first message.

    5. Tap the Delete icon at the top of the screen.

AOL icon on my Samsung phone goes straight to the News. I want to change it so it goes to my email first.

To have the App open to Mail the next time you access it, make sure to close the app using the Overview button. Depending on the type of device you are using, this should be next to the Home button (to the left or to the right). Once you tap that button, it will open a list of thumbnail images of apps that you’ve worked with recently. To open an app, touch it. To remove a thumbnail from the list, swipe it left or right.
