Web browser links
The links in your web browser don’t work. Very annoying.

Only if I use a completely different app like Mymail will the links open.
Using the AOL app, the little timer going round and round just stays there doing that.AOL cannot ever open its own hyperlinks.

In the comments section in my aol app, Why does the comments not allow me to leave a comment or ‘sign in’ even though I am actually signed in?

The AOL app will not allow me to open calendar requests which present as an attachment to an email. When I tap on the attachment in the email, which is open, of course, the screen goes black and says “LOADING” for a few seconds, and then it is replaced by the word “ERROR”, still on the black screen.
The other concern I have with the email through the AOL app, which I switched to from Verizon mail app in Sept, is that there are no little gray arrows next to an email which I have answered or forwarded. I always had those arrows before I went to the AOL app.
Both of these problems do not appear if I am on AOL in the browser.
Thanks so much for your help. M***

The only option when I open a link in an email is to close the page and lose my progress.
Had to download "mymail" app to open mail links in safari/iPad browser.
If mymail can do this why does AOL prevent me moving forwards of backwards.
It prevents me working with links. -

Adjust the app so when clicking on links it goes to a browser.

All media and content links in LinkedIn are saved as LinkedIn short URLs. AOL does not know how to translate those, so all LinkedIn post or article links do not work.
If an email link brings you into LinkedIn within the AOL Mail app, all those links don’t work cause AOL does not know how to handle them.
If AOL can to handle them, it should launch the LinkedIn app then.

When accessing email on my AOL account from my iPad, I highlight an email and tap on text within the email that scrolls up a new screen. In the new screen there is an option to click on a link to be directed to a website.
If I try this from the AOL app, the app freezes and doesn’t open a window to the website.
If I try this from the MAIL app, the app successfully opens a window to the website.
If I open a browser and go to AOLMAIL.COM, I am able to successfully open a window to the website.I did delete the AOL for IOS app, powered off and on my iPad and reloaded the AOL app but the problem remains.

It would be useful and amazing if it was allowed to click links or press and hold links and open them in an outside browser, that way, one could easily open multiple tabs etc. while scrolling through many emails that require going to an outside site.

I have an iPhone 8s+ and I agree, it’s very frustrating when you get an email with content that peaks your interest and you can’t get to the information, no matter how many times you tap on the link! So how can I surf the web from this AOL app? Or can I?🤔

To the developers, I think the issue is when the webpage wants to open the link in a new browser window.
Either you have all email links open to safari or you find a way to have multiple browser tabs.
I think it’s much easier to open in Safari.I don’t know if part of your design is for security purposes, but it should be the user who is prudent in what they should and should not be opening.

Not only do some links not work, it would be great if I could open some links in Safari. That’s a work around, but also makes me want to use AOL more if I can keep my web pages in safari where they’ll stay put, whereas in AOL they might close out because I’ve been out of the app for a while.
