  1. Automatic spam deletion

Add a feature that will auto delete messages in the SPAM folder. Can offer time limits of between 1 to 5 days. My elderly father receives over 300 spam emails per week. I have to manually select to delete them and it is a tedious process.

  2. Many political emails are getting dumped into the spam folder despite repeated attempts to indicate they aren't spam.

STOP dumping political emails in my spam folder, I've repeatedly indicated the senders are NOT spam.

  4. Block Anonymous E mails

I am receiving an increasing number of spam E mails with a stated sender's address as "None". The AOL block option does not work because 'this is not a valid E mail address'. How can I have received it if it is not valid, I wonder? Anyway, it would benefit everyone if you could AUTOMATICALLY block all such anonymous approaches. Thanks in anticipation.

  5. Unsolicited Advertising

Seeing unsolicited pop up ads for sites I may have searched is quite annoying and unwelcomed. I would like to be able to block those ads or at the very least hide them from showing up on my screen. I should be able to control what I want to see displayed on my email screen. As a long time AOL user, I would welcome the security of online browsing without the constant ad reminders.

  7. I'm getting email from aol.net telling me I have to do something to preserve my account. Is this really from aol? It says that

I'm getting email from aol.net telling me I have to do something to preserve my account. Is this really from aol? I don't want to lose my aol account if it really is you. The email is from aol.net and it begins:

    Hi AOL Member,

Head’s up: As of 20 October 2020, AOL Mail will no longer support third-party applications (such as third-party email, calendar, or contact applications) using outdated sign-in methods. That just means if you’re still signing in to your AOL account via another email application, like the default email application on your phone, you need to make…

  9. Annoying "Restore my PC" popup on mail homepage

You force me to use mail.aol.com and the first thing to open is a popup ad for "Restore you PC" software with no way to opt out. Every time I open the browser that annoying add is there. I do not want that software and it is annoying that I have to click close every time I open the software. This alone is a good reason to move my email service.

  12. Spam filter

Today I didn't receive my FEMA operations report which I receive daily. Low and behold I find it in the spam folder. I get an unbelievable amount of scams, fishing schemes you name it but just out of the blue my FEMA report is spam. This has also happened several times with liturgy readings sent weekly by my pastor. I've gone in and designated these addresses as safe numerous times. Something has to be done with that spam filter of yours.

  17. the many emails from AOL asking the user to click through a link is extremely risky for the user

When AOL sends an email requiring the user to click through on a link in the email, AOL is setting up the user to inadvertently click through on a link in SPAM. The simple solution is to direct the user go to the AOL website to click on a designated link for the particular issue.

Otherwise AOL is subjecting its users to substantial RISK.

Personally it is my policy to never click through on a link that will potentially compromise my information or security.
