    Click on your Inbox and then check the box next to an email to select it. In the upper side of the page, in the toolbar you will see the Reply, Reply all, Delete, Spam etc buttons.

  2. Problems accessing emails using local dial up numbers

    For the last two months I have had continued problems accessing the internet using AOL Dial Up, using the local phone numbers, but I could connect using a long distance 877 number. after a number of calls to tech services the finally admitted that many subscribers were having trouble connecting to these local numbers. Now I am unable to access my email using AOL's software/browser. I can access it using Google Chrome. This problem is still present and I have only be able to access the internet and my email a few days during the last two months. Very disappointing!…

  3. How can I get rid of the "Oath Team" part of my email address that now shows at the beginning of all my sent emails?

    I want to have back my original email address without the added "OathTeam" prefix that has been added recently. It just confuses recipients who think I have altered my address - I haven't!

    In order to change the Display Name in AOL Mail, please follow these steps:

    1. Sign in to mail.aol.com
    2. Under your username on the upper right, click ‘Options’ then ‘Mail Settings’.
    3. Click the ‘Compose’ tab.
    4. Scroll down to the ‘Display Name’ section and change the name from that field (or leave the field empty).
    5. Click on ‘Save Settings’ at the bottom of the screen.

    If you did not set ‘OathTeam’ as your Display Name, please check the article below for information about identifying suspicious account activity, and steps on how to secure your account: https://help.aol.com/articles/account-management-identifying-suspicious-activity

    In case the problem is not resolved after following the steps above to change the Display Name, please send us a screenshot, at aolsupporthelp@aol.com of the ‘OathTeam’ name you see in your mailbox, in order to further investigate this.     To enable “You’ve Got Mail” sound please go to Options—>General—>New Mail section and enable both settings.

    To restore your contacts, please go to a desktop computer, access mail.aol.com and follow the next steps:

    1. Click Contacts from the left panel in AOL Mail.
    2. Click More | Restore.
    3. Select a date to restore your contacts to from the drop-down menu.
    4. Click Restore.

    Contacts can be restored from an automatic save point made within the last 14 days.

  9. Stop merging unrelated bug reports and instead fix the bugs!

    Twice I have reported the same bug and you've merged my feedback with an unrelated issue rather than responding. Here's the issue:
    In Account Security settings, when Allow apps that use less secure sign in is off, your pop server no longer responds to pop clients, even when Two step verification is off. This has to be wrong. pop is no less secure than browser access.
    Another bug you haven't fixed but merged with unrelated issues:
    It is impossible to keep messages from being sent to the Spam folder.

    In case your email client uses basic authentication, you will need to enable the ‘Allow apps that use less secure sign in’ option in order to connect to the POP/IMAP or SMTP servers.

    If you find that an important email was sent to the Spam folder, mark the email as “Not Spam” (as opposed to manually moving it to the Inbox), that way you will train the spam filter to better identify important emails in the future.

  15. is so narrow when I compose an email, that I can't full

    I had a problem and your technician changed some of my settings. Now the address box is much narrower and it's difficult to read the addresses of the recipients. I complained and a 2nd technician tried to fix, but was unable to. It's OK if I use the Internet Explorer browser which AOL wants me to use, but I prefer Google Chrome and will continue using that. It's a shame!

  16. Only use this account from Jan through May how can i keep the address from being deleted from year to year?

    I only use this account from January through May. It is for a National Organization called The Order of Daedalian. They give out a national award every year to any high school that has ROTC. I contact them at the beginning of the year to see if they want the reward. The ROTC programs are run by retired Military personnel who at some point retire again. So i have to reach out every year I cannot just send them. How can I keep the addresses from disappearing every year>

  18. Why can't I remove old unused folders and or least rename them?

    I have been with AOL since it's startup, I have devoted years to volunteering on AOL, and put up with growth issues, changes in management and owners. As a lifetime, unwavering and faithful member I am disappointed in the length of time fixing recent changes have taken., and at how many former features have simply been removed for no understandable reason and without talking to your paying customers. When will you give us back what we so respected and enjoyed from AOL in exchange for our loyalty and money?
