report malware
Do we have a way of reporting spam/malware to you (and then, hopefully, you do something about it)? For example, I've gotten two messages today, telling me that my email is going to be canclled or whatever, and these messages are apparently coming from other AOL accounts.
Hello there,
If a user is abusing our system to send mail, we're definitely interested. Please mark these emails as spam, it will generate a report that goes to a team focused on such experiences can review and take the appropriate action. For security reasons, they'll be limited in the information they can share back, however, we're dedicated to ensuring our users don't abuse our system.

I am currently finding that when I restart my computer and go to aol.com, I am still signed in.
Prior to the last few weeks, when I closed my email and restarted my computer, I would not be signed in to AOL when I went to aol.com.
Fix this. It is ridiculous to keep me signed in unless I specifically log out. You are creating an extra step for me to close my email and keep it safer.
I click on Mail to sign in to my email. I don't click in to Log In. I don't know what the difference is, but there must be one as you offer both options.
Again, fix this. Why make it more…

Hi there, I’m sorry to hear that! The more often you mark these emails as Not Spam, the more you train your personal mail filter to recognize them as such. We recommend following these steps to manage your incoming emails: https://help.aol.com/articles/aol-mail-spam-and-privacy
Additionally, please make sure the sender is added to your contacts list.

spell check
I have followed your directions to enable the spell check in Options/Compose but there is no "Sending" section as referred to, in there.
To view those settings, please switch to the standard version of AOL Mail. Click Options then select Standard.
-
To print your contacts, click Print from the contacts page then select from the drop down which ones you wish to print.

I have verizon.net domain. Am I able to keep my email account regardless of service provider?
Hi there,
Yes, you can keep your email account for free, regardless of your internet service provider.

my email address is sometimes coming up **.net for my recipients. why is this?
Thank you for reaching out to us.
This is your email alias, which was automatically created when your Verizon email account was setup.
The alias in no way changes your user name and does not create a new mailbox; it becomes the mailing name associated with your primary account and is immediately ready to use in order to send and receive email on.
To setup your default Send From address in AOL Mail (in case it’s setup to be the alias instead of your username), click on Options on the top right corner of the AOL Mail page, select Mail Settings from the drop-down menu, go to the Compose tab on the left side, and select the address from which you want to send mail by default from the “Send From Address” section.

Your representatives don't know how to handle fraud
On 1/8/2021, I called AOL to report that my account was hacked. At that moment, thieves were trying to take money from my accounts . The representative told me that he could not freeze or block my account unless he could properly verify me. He only suggested that I completely delete my 25 year old aol account. It was then I realized that the representative was a moron. I called back and with some effort and a conscious representative, I was able to get back control of my account. I guess aol has been around a little too long?
Thank you for your patience while we reviewed your feedback.
We’re sorry to hear about your experience. It’s certainly our expectation and desire that you receive the highest quality service when working with customer support. We’re sad to hear that it sounds like you did not.
Rest assured that we’ve captured your complaint and will make sure your experience is shared with others in an effort to prevent this in the future.

Whys is all my e-mail from *******@****** goingto spam instead of inbox?
Why is all my e-mail form *****@******* going to spam intead of my inbox/
Hello. By marking messages as Spam or Not Spam you are customizing your personal Spam filter to learn what is spam and what is not. Emails will be tagged as a spam depending on the behavior it was sent or on the spam controls of the recipient. If there are links, images or phrases that AOL Mail service deemed as a spam based on the complaints of other members, it will automatically go to spam folder. If the mail was sent as a mass mail, it will automatically go to the spam folder as well. Also, please make sure this email address is added to your Contacts list. If the issue persists, please contact us at help.aol.com Thank you, AOL Mail team

Hi there,
The sender that is unable to email AOL users should contact our Postmaster team at: https://senders.yahooinc.com/ They will investigate the issue and provide more information. Thank you!

how do I stop the need for asking for cell phone
how do I stop the need for asking for cell phone number? I don't own a cell phone and if I did, I wouldn't WANT to add my cell phone and suddenly get **** from AOL or Yahoo. I have already added a second email address, you DON'T need my cell phone for any further reason.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but AOL is just doing its best to protect your online safety. It’s extremely important to have updated information should you ever need to change your account settings, reset your password or contact AOL customer support.
