  1. Why has my aol email downgraded since 2 days? Can you fix my aol email as it was before?

    Make my email version back as it was or make it a better version as I am now using a very old rubbish version of aol email. Why have you messed up aol again.

    We recommend using the ‘Standard’ version of AOL Mail. To switch to it, simply click the ‘Options’ menu located in the top right corner of the screen, then click ‘Standard Version’.

    Hello.  By marking messages as Spam or Not Spam you are customizing your personal Spam filter to learn what is spam and what is not. Emails will be tagged as a spam depending on the behavior it was sent or on the spam controls of the recipient. If there are links, images or phrases that AOL Mail service deemed as a spam based on the complaints of other members, it will automatically go to spam folder.   If the mail was sent as a mass mail, it will automatically go to the spam folder as well.   Also, please make sure this email address is added to your Contacts list.   5. How to get my name and email address to always show at the bottom of emails I send

    My name and email used to automatically appear below all emails I sent. They have now disappeared. I would like to know how to get this facility back. There is nothing in settings.

    To create and set a signature in AOL Mail, please go to mail.aol.com from a PC or laptop then follow these steps:

    1. Under your username, click Options | Mail Settings.

    2. Click the “Compose” tab.

    3. Next to “Rich Text/HTML,” select Use signature.

    4. Enter your signature info.

    5. Click Save Settings.

    i have been using AOL in Japan for years (I travel back and forth) and just a few days ago, for the first time ever, my welcome screen began appearing in Japanese rather than English. This is ridiculous. AOL tech help was useless in resolving this. This should NEVER happen. Once my account is set it should remain in that language. I travel all over and AOL is useless to me if I do not get my news and welcome screen in the language of my preference EVERY TIME.

    Please note that when traveling abroad, the aol.com website may be redirected to a regional website specific to your location. This is due to geo-blocks based on your location. The Geo-blocks will force the browser to always load the website based on your location (such as AOL, Google, just to name a few) instead of the international website.

    Unfortunately, no changes will have any effect in this situation, as the redirect will always be forced, prior to the loading of the website you are intending to navigate to. This is a limitation imposed due to territorial licensing.

  7. AOL email does not allow a reply of forward of a message without selecting am attachment first. This just started happening this morning.

    Fix the reply and forward function so it works without requiring a file to be selected box to be enter a file. This just started this morning. Cannot reply or forward without attaching a file with nothing to do with the message content.

    There are two ways to bookmark a page in AOL Shield Pro. The quickest and easiest way is to click the Star in the top right corner of the address box.

    You can also bookmark a page by clicking the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top right corner, clicking Bookmarks, and then clicking Bookmark this page.

    1. Click My Services | Subscriptions to access your account information.

    2. Click Manage next to your subscription.

    3. Click Change Plan and select the option that best suits your needs.

    Do we have a way of reporting spam/malware to you (and then, hopefully, you do something about it)? For example, I've gotten two messages today, telling me that my email is going to be canclled or whatever, and these messages are apparently coming from other AOL accounts.

    If a user is abusing our system to send mail, we're definitely interested. Please mark these emails as spam, it will generate a report that goes to a team focused on such experiences can review and take the appropriate action. For security reasons, they'll be limited in the information they can share back, however, we're dedicated to ensuring our users don't abuse our system.

  13. 2-step Verification

    I also did the 2 Step Verification. Sure enough, I had problems getting my emails to synch on 3 devices: my iPhone, my NOOK and my MacBook Pro!

    1 Possible Solution: Please have AOL Programmers include a STATEMENT in the 2 Step Verification directions ----that 2 Step Verification should NOT be used for anyone with more than 1 device, please!

    Innocently, people know about 2 Step Verification for many other applications, browsers, etc ...and they and I believed we were ADDING SAFETY via AOL's 2 Step Verification! We are mainly people with 2-3 devices. TY!

    Please delete and re-add your account in the Mac Mail app. The incoming and outgoing mail servers require SSL enabled for all ports, and also the username field in the account setup, needs to contain your full email address, including @verizon.net at the end.

    In case your server settings are correct, open the link below (and sign in if necessary), and make sure the option “Allow apps that use less secure sign-in” is turned ON.

    After this turning ON this option, check if your mail application is able to connect. If the problem persists, verify if the “Two-step verification” option on the Account Security page (the URL above) is turned ON or OFF.

  17. Hi, how do i prevent outside people from getting my e-mail contacts? Somehow all of my contacts are getting spam from me.

    I need info On how to prevent getting my contact info hacked. When they get a hold of emails do they get a hold of phone numbers and addresses too? What settings can I change to prevent this from happening again. What can AOL do?

  20. & work from 3 different browsers: microsoft, google, and firefox. Aol wont take password on firefox

    make AOL accessible on all browsers. Work, Volunteer, and Personal Business. Not able to access Microsoft.
