  1. report malware

Do we have a way of reporting spam/malware to you (and then, hopefully, you do something about it)? For example, I've gotten two messages today, telling me that my email is going to be canclled or whatever, and these messages are apparently coming from other AOL accounts.

Please mark these emails as spam, it will generate a report that goes to a team focused on such experiences can review and take the appropriate action. For security reasons, they’ll be limited in the information they can share back, however, we’re dedicated to ensuring our users don’t abuse our system, and the Community Action Team will act accordingly.

Your Product (ahem!) We apologize for the inconvenience. In order to block a specific sender, go to Options – Mail Settings – Spam Settings and add the email addresses in the box below “Block Mail from Addresses I Specify”, then click Save Settings at the bottom, and in case you receive unwanted emails in the Inbox, mark them as Spam.".... DOES NOT WORK EITHER!!!!!

After typing the email address in the ‘Block mail from addresses I specify’ box, press Enter on your keyboard or click on the + sign at the end of the box. After you are done adding all the email addresses you want to block, click on ‘Save Settings’ at the bottom of the page.

  5. SPAM E MAILSHOW DO I STOP THEM

I am getting fed up with all the spam E mails I am getting. I ticked the box which only allowed E mails to be received if they were in my contact list. Today, I have received loads of unwanted spam mails. What do I do to stop this rubbish?

  7. MOVE SPAM

I wish I could off the SPAM filter. But, until that is possible how can I move a SPAM message into my IN BOX? Currently, checking the box to the left of the header and then clicking "MOVE TO IN BOX" sends the message to who knows where but it is not in the IN BOX. Currently, checking the box to the left of the header and then clicking "NOT SPAM" sends the message to who knows where but it is not in the IN BOX.

  10. auto-delete spam box after content exceeds 100 entries

I have well over 1000 spam messages I have to delete each month. I can't possibly block everyone because they change the sending address.
Auto delete would accomplish this easily, or at least give us a Spam "delete all" option so we can clean up our account.

You can hover over the Spam folder, in the right side of it, a Trash button will appear, this will delete all your emails from that folder.

By default, both the Trash and Spam folders empty automatically to keep your account tidy. You cannot change the Trash and Spam settings.

Trash deletion frequency – Trash is deleted after 7 days.
Spam deletion frequency – Spam is deleted after 30 days.

  17. what are the spam rules?

Why won't AOL tell it's members what constitutes spam? I suddenly got locked out after sending a bunch of e-mails to groups of cousins. I called for help, was forced to sign up for tech support and was told by two AOL employees they are now allowed to tell me how many e-mails sent in what amount of time qualifies as spam nor would they tell me how long after being locked out would my account be reopened.
I had been previously told that after AOL took over from Verizon that I was no longer limited to 100 people per…

In order to better enforce anti-spam policies, AOL does not disclose the number of recipients or emails that can be sent at one time.

If you’ve received a notification that a limit has been met, you’ll need to wait a set amount of time before you can send more emails. Most sending limit notifications inform you of how long you’ll have to wait.

If you’re planning to regularly send bulk email, consider looking into alternate solution.

  18. Possible Spam from "Aol Mail"

I received an e-mal from "AOL Mail" stating that you would shut down on April 24th for upgrades and would need to click on a link or lose my access. Is this true or is it a scam?

  19. Way more spam now - why?

Up until about one week ago I got almost no real spam. I frequently found things I wanted to see in the spam folder, which was moderately annoying. Now I'm getting several actual garbage spam messages a day. You flag most of them, but they never got through at all in the past. What did you change? Please change it back.
