What causes some legitimate email to go directly to "Deleted Mail?"
What causes some legitimate email to go directly to "Deleted Mail?"

In most cases, this problem is caused by the incoming mail filters on your account. To verify your incoming mail filters, please go to mail.aol.com using a desktop computer, and click on Options on the top right, then Mail Settings, and finally Filter Settings on the left side of the page.
On the Filter Settings page, review the filters that are set up to move your incoming emails to the trash folder, then edit or delete them, in order to receive your emails in your Inbox.
As an alternative, you can configure your account using IMAP rather than POP, by following the steps from this help article: https://help.aol.com/articles/verizon-move-to-aol-mail-setting-up-your-new-aol-account-in-a-third-party-email-program-or-mobile-device-imap

Under the OPTIONS pulldown, there is no option to select incoming email to go to NEW EMAIL. My emails are being automatically routed to TRASH, which I never selected.

Prefer the ability to dump the trash at my choosing, instead of automatically at logging out. I have two accounts, one lets me choose when and other is automatic. Is there a way to make them both the same....at my choosing

Why is it that e-mails that were deleted in May suddenly reappear in my trash bin. Is this something new aol is trying out?

I have used AOL mail for a very long time. But recently, I got two very important JOB interview emails, directly goes to Trash, I got no notification at all. And of course, I missed the job. May be not by your wish, but I think you guys just changed my life. Since this is a free email service, I don't want any compensate, but I think I deserve a official statement. This is the two very emails address, date and domain name, I just found them in the Trash yesterday:

I really really need an answer to this. At least you guys have to do a research for me. -

There should be an easy way to allow all emails to show up in the inbox. Your server algorithms are apparently filtering out legitimate emails without my approval.
