Fix your servers
Announce you will not support third party email.
Because you do not for more than two days at a time then 30 minutes of work on our part on the phone with you just nets us two days service. If you don't want to serve us, JUST SAY SO.
Check the Incoming mail server settings in your email application, and make sure they match the IMAP/POP settings in the section titled “Update server settings” from the following help article: https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-set-up-other-email-applications-to-send-and-receive-my-verizon-net-mail
The incoming and outgoing mail servers require SSL enabled for all ports, and also the username field in the account setup, needs to contain your full email address, including @verizon.net at the end.
In case your server settings are correct, open the link below (and sign in if necessary), and make sure the option “Allow apps that use less secure sign-in” is turned ON.
After this turning ON this option, check if your mail application is able to connect. If the problem persists, verify if the “Two-step verification” option on the Account Security page (the URL above) is turned ON or OFF.
In case this feature is turned ON, you will have to create a unique application-specific password for each one of your email applications, by following the steps from the section titled “How do I set up 2-step verification?” from the following article: https://help.aol.com/articles/2-step-verification-stronger-than-your-password-alone

When I set my Outlook (Outlook® 2016 MSO (16.0.14326.20384) 32-bit) setting to agree with the iMap settings provided by AOL (https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-use-other-email-applications-to-send-and-receive-my-aol-mail) my Outlook reports an error. This issue began in Spring of 2020 and continues until today. Further, my Android has ceased to synch with AOL mail using the same iMap setting provided by AOL.
Has AOL ceased supporting an Outlook/iMap interface?

I have had my AOL account for over 40 years, starting with the time when I had to pay a monthly fee. The account is carried in hundrends of places, accounts. I have resisted changing from AOL, but the frustration with using the apps on my phone, my computers and my tablet, is pushing me to do just that.
I have repeatedly try to follow the various help articles and the accounts work sporadically, then give me an error. I'm tired of this. I even set the accounts up once using passwords like "dlts smit afaj yywj". Worked for a while, then another error.
You have to fix the AOL system. Enough with all these various work-arounds.

The only thing that works is Signing in to Netscape web mail page.
Please give me the correct Server settings for the migrated Netscape ISP mail that was migrated to AOL Mail, so I may set up a new account for Netscape mail in my TBird mail account.
I have two IMAP accounts set up and one POP account set up for my other mail accounts.
One is an IMAP account hosted on Outlook.
The other is a different AOL Mail account that has both a POP3 and an IMAP account set up and working.
Also the Auto Forward option needs to be put back for the Netscape Mail account, then Netscape Mail will be more useful to me.
I set up Auto Forwarding to my other AOL Mail account, when I first joined Netscape ISP. This way anything that goes there gets sent to my other AOL account. And I am able to get the AOL Mail accounts using TBird.

Unable to configure Netscape.com mail for the migrated mail to AOL.com in Tbird.
I already have three other Mail accounts set up in Tbird. 2 are my other AOL Mail account.
There should not be any problem adding Netscape Mail to my mail client.
At this point the only method to use the migrated Netscape Mail is to go to the Webmail page with a browser. And I only am able to access it with my notebook connected to the Library's network. My DUN connection is too slow to load.
So Netscape Mail is now even more useless. Previously I was Auto Forwarding Netscape Mail to my other AOL Mail account. The only messages that go to Netscape Mail are from Netscape and stuff I send from my other mail accounts.

Emails not sending on the mobile app due to 'unknown error' and not saving in drafts, or if saved in drafts, says "unable to fetch, try again." After hitting send, it says "Sorry message not sent" and I have to type the message all over again. This has been going on for at least a year but I've neglected to complain about it. I hate that verizon forced their email customers to use AOL - I thought AOL ceased to exist after the early 2000s. With basic issues like this, no wonder customers were pawned off to the cheapest bidder.
Please make aol/verizon work with thunderbird. I hear you about security, but don't believe it, just like your cell phone interferes with pilot's instruments, which is a lie, by the way. So why would you really want us to download your app instead of using the way more convenient third party apps we are so used to?

CANNOT ACCESS EMAIL USING AN EMAIL CLIENT
Why can I no longer use an email client for AOL mail? It stopped working a week or two ago. The problem appears to be your system does not recognize the pass word to allow use of a client. I've tried two different email clients with the same result. After using Thunderbird I can only say you web based system is not user friendly.
can-you-tell-me-why-one-of-my-aol accounts-works just fine in aolmail.com, but only half of it ( no spam ) on Thunderbird.. Also on the Thunderbird version, i receive my mail, but cannot send email. I am using the same settings for both.

WHen will this be resolved? Please dont merge this with the issue where someone says they only get some of their email. This is not that issue. This is where it hangs and does not download to Outlook. How can i get help with this????

Operation timed out error. Operation time out waiting for response from the receiving (POP) server. Please fix this. I cant get my email to get into MS Outlook and i like to use Outlook instead of the AOL email because it is more powerful.
Fix your servers...email on my Verizon phone goes down way too often. About ready to call it quits...can’t log in and check anything...
