Why am I receiving spam mail that states my aol account will be deactivated and that I requested the deactivation on "9/15/19"!!??

I am receiving emails daily saying i shall cancel my email account. what should i do. i have just deleted them. WHY WOULD I WANT TO DELETE MY EMAIL ACCOUNT ? I am worried about hackers. Please tell me what I should do. But how do I know that I can rely on the source of the email. Maybe you could quote 250136. HELP !

I keep receiving emails about deactivating my account. I have no intentions on getting rid of the account. How do I stop these fake email from aol when it's not aol.

Completely block the people sending me emails threatening to delete my email account. I get two or three a week and it's scary
