Stop the ads, nothing more nothing less AOL. lets start a cancellation policy
How about this, we all start to cancel our business with AOL until they rollback this ******* decision. They have taken advise from some clown or competitor to ruin a decent business. a 20 yr customer about to cancel.

I only use AOL for mail primarily due to inertia on my part. The new format is annoying on a computer and frustrating on a cell phone due to the intrusive ad format. On the bright side it is enough to force me to finally move on as so many others have done.
Good luck AOL I have a feeling you are going to need it.

You’ve already got months of negative feedback on the changes, and yet you charge ahead with forcing even more of us to endure this ****! I’ve had my aol account for decades, and I’m in agreement with the rest of the reviews - the new format is a mistake from top to bottom. There is nothing I like about it, and enough that I really dislike, that if you won’t allow the option to revert to the old version, I’ll be moving on to a different provider. At the very least, you should not have email automatically opening when one is deleted. You sure know how to annoy the **** out of someone just wanting to spend 10 minutes dealing with emails, and end up taking over an hour instead. There was nothing wrong with the old format (although it’s obvious that you felt enough of the page wasn’t overtaken by ads, and did your best to remedy that...soon we’ll have about a 4 inch cube of actual space to read in the email window).

In getting worse everyday. During the last 10 days there your over 2,000 spam hits on my account. I once reviewed or read most but now I ignore and delete every couple of days. Can't you stop this!

From the home page I can't enjoy reading a article because once I click I get inundated with 10, 11 or more adds flying all around the screen. I usually just close the tab and move on to another site.

Why does the "Block Unwanted Mail" keep saying: "We cannot process your request try, again in 5 minutes" This has been running for most of the year! Why can't we report spam addresses? And the **** -- come on -- it does no good to forward it to "abuse.com" as they do nothing. I get at least a dozen **** (hard core stuff) a day! Ads are annoying enough, but explicit pictures and filthy language are uncalled for. This is abusive power AOL.

This AOL mail now looks just like the Yahoo Mail that I dropped many years ago due to the large number of SPAM and inapproriate SPAM with ****** content even mentioning your wife. I pay for this AOL service and do not feel like I get anything for this and feel stupid. You cannot tell me they do not know that these SPAMS are SPAM.
They are wrong if they say, "Why not just delete them all?" This is because every now and then, an email that is not SPAM is sent to the SPAM folder, so I really do have to skim the SPAM folder and seeing how now we are up to at least 40 yes FORTY SPAMS per day, this is very tiresome and tedious. I have no knoweldge and am just guessing, but I am beginning to think that this is intentional on the part of AOL and they want people to leave, but I am just guessing.
I would have already dropped AOL mail, but I have had it for so long that it is a real PIA to go through all of the links that I have to the AOL address and some of them only check in once per year. So, I will begin that list and it will take me some time, but at least I will be able to migrate if need be due to this continued massive SPAM dumps. I would rather not move, but reading all of these comments (I am more bothered by SPAM than the Ads on the side, but I think a paying customer should not have either one) ... AOL, do you care other than the completely BS response here from last year?

I am a paying member of AOL. I keep the platform solely for email. I am nearly ready to leave--sick of the advertising; sick of the SPAM. There needs to be a way to block SPAM of the kind:
SAMETHING@DIFFERENTTHING.AOL IS BECOMING INCREASINGLY BURDENSOME TO USE. I HAVE A GMAIL ACCOUNT AS WELL FOR BACKUP AND IT IS LOOKING INCREASINGLY ATTRACTIVE AS MY MAIN EMAIL. AOL, IF YOU'RE READING THIS, I'M GIVING YOU 6 MONTHS TO STOP THE SPAM AND STOP THE ADS. I HAVE NO USE FOR ANY OF THE GARBAGE AND TRIVIALITY THAT MIGHT HOOK OTHER USERS. YOU NEED TO GIVE US A CHOICE TO BLOCK UNWANTED CONTENT--DO IT--OR ELSE!

Most of the junk and spam ads I see are not e-mail recipients, even though I manually block them through "Options", their trash keeps getting my into box(es).
Breach of contract between AOL and any subscriber, is MY OPINION!
AOL , in my opinion, fails to provide Privacy Protection for any users of the service. -

There are so many ads on AOL, I am sick of them. Is there a way to get rid of them?

I agree. These ads are getting on my nerves. If nothing does not change I will go somewhere else for my email. Consider stopping the ads.

I don't mind the side ads too much but the new one heading my list of emails is disproportionately irritating. I've been thinking of changing anyway and this will make it worth the hassle which I've been putting off.

STOP THE FRICKING ADS!! Getting 60/day! If this doesn't stop soon, good-bye and hello gmail!!! With 966 comments about the fricking ads, see no response from AOL as to why/what they are going to do about it. I've had AOL for 25 years, but unless these ads are stopped, bye.

Most annoying full screen ads like PCH should not be imposed on paying users!! A cancellation movement is a great idea, and after over 20years of being a user I've had it.
