Stop forcing us to mark spam as "not spam" to click unsubscribe links on spam emails!
What idiot made this policy I don't know but by permanently blocking all links and images from emails in our spam folder you force us to mark spam as "not spam" to unsubscribe from spam mailing lists. This is a horrible, horrible idea. Get rid of it.
If we had a button to enable links and images, instead of just images, we could then try to unsubscribe. This won't always work, because many "unsubscribe" have no link, or the address goes to a deleted mailbox. But give us the chance to try.
I want the decision of what I want to read and not what I read!!!! EVERYTHING I get is blocked by someone AT aol. That' MY CHOICE NOT YOURS!!!!
Agree. Appears that AOL is promoting SPAM. When I click on one of these ads as SPAM, I get the unsubscribe prompt, and MUST click unsubscribe to get rid of it. Furthermore, it does not end up in my spam folder....as it should. Even worse....I got a MAILER DAEMON message after unsubscribing to a spam email. Gmail here I come.

I completely agree with the comment. When the amount of spam piles up, I'll go in to each item to unsubscribe, if possible. Now that the links are disabled, the amount of work to unsubscribe makes the whole exercise pointless! If I have to mark everything as "not spam" just to activate the unsubscribe link, and then go to FIND the ones I marked, it's not worth the effort anymore. I'll just let them pile up and delete the whole mess every few weeks, knowing that the spam will continue to increase at a faster rate.
