port 995 for sending emails to 3 party Software not working
port 995 not accessable using my very easy to use 3r party client (client software has not advertising and is MUCH faster than AOL online). I can send out emails (which went away for about a week), but now I can't receive any mails via port 995. And I would add that I changed NO settings prior to the failure. Also, prior to failing completley, I had to to "ping" the Send/receive 5 or 10 times to get it to work, but after a few days it completley failed.
I am based in the UK and experiencing exactly the same POP3 / Port 995 email server connection issue as you, since last week from around 7th May onwards.
Please see the feedback/request I posted today on this forum ("Receive" category), subject "AOL POP3 server not connecting for 5 days now".
I thought you would like to know that you are not the only one trying to find a way to contact AOL Tech Support on this ;-)
I also reported it a few days ago by email to the Verizon Media "Postmaster" in the hope he/she can alert AOL Tech Support internally, as AOL Help pages state all normal Support request channels are currently closed due to the pandemic, but so far have received no reply (Verizon Media now own AOL but their "Office Locations" area shows no telephone numbers).
