This is a PRIVATE MAIL service not a commercial trap. I am outraged that I cannot control my time on the internet but must be distracted with BS........ Remove ALL ADS OR I WILL REMOVE AOL AS MY MAIL SERVER AND SWITCH TO GMAIL.

The ads that jump out at me are so obnoxious that I am keeping a list of those companies, and I will never buy from them. If it continues, I will have to transfer over to gmail.

What I saw this morning is right out of the mafia playbook. They sent thugs to break windows, etc., then they sent the guy in the nice suit out to tell storeowners that they can buy protection through this guy who will gladly come by every month to collect. In other words, pay us to not send thugs to break windows and such. I do not buy anything from pop up ads nor any other type of ad that gets in my face in my email. This is supposed to be a free account. Now it is apparently turning into an ad account. If this doesn't stop then I will begin switching all my incoming mail to other accounts. This has been unbelievable this morning. If I dislike one ad, another immediately pops up. AOL even knows these in-mail ads are spam. Many of them hit the spam folder first. It is continual -- apparently the first slot is now reserved (by AOL) for spam junk stupid ads. Stop the insanity.

This morning I had 58 spam emails. I took one and put it into my regular email folder, checked it out then unsubscribed from the original site plus the unsubscribed from the person/site that really sent the junk email out. I cleared my spam folder and put the email back into the spam folder and deleted all of them. An hour later I checked my email and found 60 more junk emails had come into regular email folder all from the same place. I checked the address that was listed in the email and found that it was a spot on a back road in New Jersey. Also it was a wooded lot with no buildings or houses within miles!! It's time AOL started doing something about all this junk email!!

AOL is big enough to get their legal department to go after all these spammers!! It's time that all the big email companies work together to stop all this junk email ads. And people who want to see all these ads, good luck to them cause most of the junk emails are ways for these spammers to get into your computers and plant viruses!!!

And stop the effing popup videos about Covid. I am sick to death of it. I cannot open a news report without your propaganda appearing on the bottom of my screen. I will take care of me, and have. I do not need your constant reminders spoiling my morning coffee.

I can't stand it. I have asked AOL 2000 times to delete the header adds. The response has been a dial tone. Gmail may be the answer.

I am receiving too many messages. I cannot find my important e-mails for the ads or whatever. Please stop this or I will have to close my account, which I have had since 1981. All of my doctors, friends, relatives and businesses I deal with have had this e-mail address for me since 1981. I will have to inform them of the change.

I have begun to receive large amounts of ads that I am not interested in, some of which are inappropriate. I do not want to receive these. Until about a week ago, they went to my spam box.

Same complaint; spam used to go the Spam folder, now I'm getting junk all day long in the Inbox. They should have left well enough alone!!

I hate the new app! I have free accounts that produce far fewer ads than aol and you charge for this!! It's unacceptable, ridiculous and annoying. PLEASE stop the ad barrage.

I have checked the option to block all emails from senders not on my contact list, yet I'm still receiving 25-30 spam emails daily. Why is this feature not working?

If the constant flood of spam and ads on my email continues, I will not be able to continue my account. I will switch providers. I also have a gmail account and these spam emails don't appear there.
