can't get mail on my computer it says needs permission to sync

Hi there. As we all know, technology is continuing to change and improve. While the connection you have been using may still work and was once the best, a better, more secure option is available. Basic auth is an older authentication method. A more secure authentication method called OAuth2 is now available. To ensure your account remains secure, we are requiring all applications to support OAuth2.
We recommend using the AOL Mail website and AOL email app so we can ensure you’re always using the most secure sign-in technology when accessing your email.
If you prefer to continue accessing your AOL email on your current third-party email application, including the default email application on your mobile phone, please see details below on how to ensure it’s syncing with the latest secure sign-in method: https://help.aol.com/articles/allow-apps-that-use-less-secure-sign-in
Thank you!

This happened before, and AOL was very slow to fix it. Using Thunderbird I am getting "Sending of password for user did not succeed. Mail server pop.aol.com responded: [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later" for weeks now. You get what you pay for with AOL, so I'm moving my email to a different host that I can control. AOL web mail still works which helps with the transition.

I have the AOL male app on my computer, tablet and smart phone. I have to delete the same email from each device separately to get rid of them. This has been going on since about April. Before that time, if I deleted an email from one device, the email was deleted from the other devices as well. What change with you app and why.

It's been exactly 2 months since I've been unable to access AOL emails via Outlook. Frustrating that this has not been fixed yet.

Here is the problem. Outlook 2007 is considered a third party application. Therefore, it requires that my user name, my email address and password be used to login to the AOL servers to send and receive my AOL email. This process use to work perfectly but presently, none of my three AOL email addresses can send and receive any email using Outlook 2007 even though my email addresses and passwords are all correct and can login to AOL email on AOL.com perfectly. I'm stuck with an endless login loop everytime I want to collect my AOL email on Outlook 2007. I have use the key combination Alt+F4 to stop the endless login loop process, disabling any AOL email from sending and receiving because this puts the AOL email offline. Clearly, this is a temporary fix to collect my other email but the AOL software technicians need to do more than provide me with a one time third party password to collect my AOL email on Outlook 2007. This solution is not good enough and clearly I don't want to loose my AOL accounts if I am unable to login to my AOL accounts for a period of moderate period of time because I don't want to login to my AOL email on public wifi for security reasons. Could you please place an enable less secure applications switch in the security setting to enable my AOL email accounts to send and receive my email using Outlook 2007 so that there is not an endless login loop and I can finally collect all of my email from one location instead of going to multiple locations to access all my email. I have considered changing my AOL email passwords but unless I am able to successfully use my AOL email accounts on Outlook 2007, I think that the problem will still exist even after I change my passwords because I still will not be able to login to my AOL email accounts with Outlook 2007 even with new passwords unless Outlook 2007 can interact with the AOL servers without getting stuck in an endless login loop. Thank you very kindly and have a great day!!

I am having the same problem. Outlook gives me a message that the message is quarantined by the recipient (AOL).
HELP! I want to stop the quarantining process.

Yes, I believe this can only be addressed by an AOL systems administrator.

AOL Administrators are lax in addressing this fundamental issue that is critical to operating our businesses and personal emails. Hello? Anybody out there?

Have a place to let me complete a sentence. don't make me hunt through lists of issues. MAC MAIL can't log into AOL, and don't say change password. My password works with 4 mac devices, but not the MacBook Air-it used to. Ever since I allowed the Malware package, this computer is not allowed into AOL. I've been with AOL since 1989? PLEASE< TELL ME HOW TO USE THE MAIL WITHOUT HAVING TO GENERATE AN "APP PASSWORD" EVERY TIME I SIGN ON. I'm SOOO frustrated. Please shutdown the Malware softeware, it's not helping and this computer can't take it or doesn't want it. **@aol.com!!!!

Why does Outlook have a problem accepting my VERIZON. NET mail? I have been an AOL customer for over two decades and a VERIZON.NET customer for a long time. I opted to keep my VERIZON. NET address. Why can't OUTLOOK accept this?
