I don't know if you guys are still experiencing problems with the password generator, but i was able to solve mine. I still can't generate a password on my PC, but i was able to generate a password on my iPhone. I copied this password, emailed it to myself, and then pasted it into the MS Outlook when prompted. I can now send/receive AOL/Verizon email in MS Outlook.

    I have not seen ANY AOL updates that have made AOL better. I am no locked out of Outlook because I cannot generate a password. I would love to get out of AOL however changing my email address would also take a lot of work!!!!!

    I had the aol app on my iphone and tried same freaking exact error "not available at this time" I am using my acct for business and this is critical I cannot use my outlook 365 on my laptop . Someone please fix this thing

    I just tried this on my phone and it did not work. I got the same error message as on my laptop.

    I've had this email since AOL started offering an Email address. I have never changed it, I don't want to start a new email account elsewhere. Had to reinstall windows and now can't use the integrated email app. Please fix

    I have the same problem and filed a complaint with the NY State Attorney General’s Bureau of Internet & Technology against: (1) AOL; (2) Yahoo which owns AOL; (3) Apollo Global Management which bought AOL and Yahoo from Verizon; and (4) Verizon.     i had to change my password and forgot that aol is the few services that requires a password for EVERY. SINGLE. APP. It is annoying and I can no longer use the iPhone Mail feature. COMPLETELY UNHAPPY WITH THE SERVICE.

    I tried to use my iphone to get a password generated as suggested, but it didn't work on the phone either. Aol. TELL US WHAT'S GOING ON!!!!

    App password generator still "not available right now": this is a serious issue if it goes on much longer. Has it been deliberately disabled for some undisclosed reason? AOL, please let your community know your intentions. If it requires a paid subscription, please make that clear. For sure many Outlook users will abandon AOL completely rather than struggle with webmail, even after 20+ years of activity.

    It's not working for me. I receive mail in Outlook, but can't send. I just get that maddening notice that the feature is not available at present. When will it work? Why won't you answer us?

    To add to my previous comment, I’m a Verizon user. At my age, not anxious to change my email since connected to many friends, Military retirees like myself, family. What procedure do we use w/a Verizon email with AOL? Or do we need to go through YAHOO. Please AOL, explain more in detail. Lost w/o my Laptop MAC MAIL access to my email. Thank you!

    Please help me get a generated password for my MacBookPro Apple MAIL. I don’t have a problem accessing email on my iPhone, yet use my Laptop more. Do I need to go through Yahoo now that they are joined with AOL? HELP

    Us Android users are locked out of the AOL email on our third party email apps. Both AOL accounts of mine are now off-line unless I log into the AOL home page to check my mail. I no longer can receive email alerts from my home security cameras nor my withdrawl notifications from bank accounts. nearly 30 years of trusting AOL to be my go to accounts, I wonder what my friend Ted Leonsis would say about this. Far from the days when he was trying to keep Bill Gates from ruling the internet.

    I've been an AOL user since 1999. Old School? Perhaps. My mail gets through on my IOS devices just fine but not on my PC. Tech support was candid about the password generator not functioning but had no solution at this time. Please help.

    AOL Password generator for 3rd part App's

    " Sorry, this feature is not available at present " both on PC and mobile App , come on AOL we need this so we can use Microsoft Outlook , it was working fine now I've had Office Update , I need to generate a new password !!

    Looks likr thy fixed it on web AOL. Started working again on 20 Oct 22! Recoupled with Outlook email client. Yeah!

    Now maybe they can do something about the excessive (on purpose?) SPAM before the FTC gets after AOL.
