password generator
I don't know if you guys are still experiencing problems with the password generator, but i was able to solve mine. I still can't generate a password on my PC, but i was able to generate a password on my iPhone. I copied this password, emailed it to myself, and then pasted it into the MS Outlook when prompted. I can now send/receive AOL/Verizon email in MS Outlook.

How exactly did you generate a password on your iPhone? I was not successful and would appreciate any guidance. Thank you in advance

I tried to do that through my iPhone as well and still keep getting "Sorry, this feature is not available right now!"

How is this at all possible in 2022 that an app password generator is disabled? AOL, your webmail interface is a mess. Did a Product Manager decide that AOL needed more revenue from impressions and therefore dropped support of an email client as widely adopted as Outlook?
This thread began in September. We are deep into October. Is AOL on a six month release cycle?

I couldn't produce a password, even using iphone. Getting 'Sorry this feature is not available at present', like so many others. ......Looks like AOL is retiring itself!
May have to consider stopping using it after 25 years as clearly no longer a Yahoo priority. Completely useless now in connection to Outlook and becoming a big time waster.
How about AOL give us an update? -

Doesn't work on Android. This is abhorrent. Locked out of email with no resolution for months?

Did not expect this issue when replacing computer. Now am left with access only through phone. What happens when I need to replace that? This is unreal! I've had my account for almost 30 years. If the plan was to cut us off, just say so and give notice. This is just absurd!

These app passwords are necessary for my work. Please reactivate them as soon as possible!

Accept now it doesn’t work….again. I think AOL has decided to become completely irrelevant. I see no other reason for continuing to block this feature and not allowing their email (@aol.com) to be added to popular email apps.

I tried using the Chrome browser in Windows and the AOL app on Android and both say "Sorry, this feature is not available. I tried calling support and they want to charge me for tech support when it's their app that is not working.
