To think that the AOL algorithm for identifying SPAM would include the Social Security Administration, most of the Minnesota Government's departments, the NAACP, plus several more distinguished institutions is unfathomable. That algorithm is so deficient that it needs a serious rewrite.

WHY DO YOU FEEL THE NEED TO SEND ME NOTICES 24 HOURS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK TO UPGRADE MY SERVICE OR PERTINENT INFORMATION? IF I WANTED TO UPGRADE MY SERVICE TO YOUR NEW VERSION THAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED BY NOW. IF YOU DO NOT STOP THIS I WILL DELETE YOU AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE! I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!!!

Put all mail in SPAM folder that isn't from people or businesses on my contact list. This is the way it used to be but now EVERYTHING is getting put in my MAIL folder..AOL is trying to make me pay a monthly fee for them to do this like they used to except I will just close out my AOL..!!

AOL used to have the ability to block spam by using a wild card character, if emails start with or contain something similar. Why was this taken away? Spam senders are modifying addresses just enough to get through. AOL is going backwards in their controls!

filter out spam from "Shark Tank." I must get 2-3 per pay in the mailbox. It is obvious they are from a fake address.

Received another 43 spam emails today alone from "addtocartnow".
"addtocartnow" appears as part of the email address only when you hover the mouse over the "spoofed" email address. Please, AOL.... stop these from ever getting to our inboxes and spam inboxes. -

First of all - On EVERY true spam email we should be able to immediately BLOCK with one click. Second - AOL should be stopping all of the OBVIOUS spam emails from the repeat SPAM GENERATORS before it reaches our mail. I was away for 3 days and cleaned out my SPAM folder last night - 11 pages of spam. This morning, I had 4 new pages of spam early in the day. All of these are REPEAT OFFENDERS. It is impossible to block all of them because the blocking system is cumberson to use. The repeat offenders often add just a couple of different letters to use new email addresses. It should be VERY EASY for AOL to control this. There is no question that these are spam - many of them pornographic or criminal fraud intent. I am going to have to leave AOL if this does not get changed soon. My time is far too precious to spend it. I cannot use a feature to block all emails except from known contacts because I get a lot of legitimate email - again the legitimate emails are not coming from the obvious spam generators. It is ridiculous that AOL ignores the pleas to fix the spam problems.

I had over 5000 pieces of spam to delete, one page at a time. Quit being ******** and make this a one command process

There has been a significant increase in spam in my inbox over the past couple of weeks. I find it interesting that AOL is trying to sell me spam filter packages during this same period. Interesting coincidence, don't you think! Dirty trick, AOL!

Based on the frequest postings by many others, it should be pretty clear by now that AOL needs to take immediate action to block any and all emails/spam from "addtocartnow". If any of their stuff was legit, then I win 10+ fabulous prizes each and every day like 170 piece tool sets, Yeti coolers, tents, gift cards, and more from actual, trusted stores! Not! These fraudsters send their junk pretenting to be from Lowe's, Walmart, CVS, Wagreens, Home Depot, ****'s Sporting Goods and many other real, legit merchants. They also bomb with all sorts of fake health treatments seeking to ripoff off the medically vulnerable and desperate. Horrible!
I now get anywhere from 50 - 100 spams per day from the "addtocartnow" fraudsters. Note that "addtocartnow" does not appear in their visible email address, but only when you use a mouse to hover over and the real email appears. They add random characters to the "addtocartnow" to make it impossible for us individual users to add them to our blocked list. By generating these random characters, trying to use the AOL blocks doesn't work. Even deleting them in bunches without opening them has not stopped the continuing spam dump. Please stop this on the front end and don't even let their 50-100 scams per day get into our spam inboxes.
