I second that! I;m getting spam from a particular domain, but I can only block a complete email, so when I block the whole address (which, for some reason, is not getting caught by the spam filter and ends up in my inbox), they just change the "username" and send me another from the same "@domain."

These are the main renter email names I receive every few minutes. 100s also daily. We should start a list for AOL, as I have seen others, and reporting the thousands and thousands as spam does not seem to trigger AOL or Yahoo to deny this spammer use of their servers. The domains change by the minute and daily and start around 2 a.m. through 8 p.m.

i need to block a particular phrase in any email address to stop spam emails even hitting my spam box. But it would appear one cannot do this??????

Can I not block a phrase - say "discountcode" . So that any sender that has this in their email address is blocked ?
-
HONG GUO commented
I am recieving up to 70 unwanted email per day - many having @discountcode as a start, then 8 digits dot net.

Can I block emails which has say - discountcode - in the title from sender, who keep changing the rest of the email source, so I can't block them

I am noticing SPAM making it through the desktop app now which should be EASY to tag before it every makes it to my inbox. Why not just delete the blatant ones with mis-spellings, hyphenations, etc??? DON'T EVEN get me started on how AWFUL it is on my Apple iPhone. IT IS A JOKE and you should all be embarrassed.

Congratulations, I have gone from 200 spam emails a day to over 500 and I have to look each one over to make sure it is a valid email that I need. How long does it take to get your act together? How about a simple block program. DOH!!!!

Once one deletes spam, have that email address banned by AOL.

Make it easier to block spam. I am getting four pages of spam a day. It makes me think aol is complicit in this. In order to block spam, I have to open the email, select print, choose "Print using the system dialog . . . ," open a second browser tab, select Options, select Mail Settings, select Block Senders, then copy the email address from the first browser window, then paste the email address into the "Block messages from specific senders" box, and then save. It takes five minutes to block one sender when I am getting about 60 spam emails a day. When I open the email, I ought to be able to go to the "More" drop-down and choose "Block Sender," but I don't get that option in my "More" drop-down.

The posted comment above does not display the asterisk "*" in front of the At Sign "@".
Nor after the At Sign.
Again, AOL edit changes what was typed.
Hopefully quotes will show what was typed -- "*@*.de"
In block list is, Asterisk_ At Sign_Asterisk_de
Used underscore to identify and seperate sysmbol representation/wording. -

Have a separate box for mail identified by you as SPAM.

I just started forwarding McAfee spam to McAfee. Maybe if they get enough they might help track down the spammers. spam@mcafee.com and I tell them it's AOL that is not stopping this.

tech support denies this, and yet, what they told me to do, will not stop it, nor allow me to block them??
because they are promoting these attacks to trick people into buying **** that shouldnt be needed.
it is a simple program that blocks spam when we call it spam!! -
JOHN HAAN commented
fix it! your page keeps telling me what to do, but it won't let me do it!!
because AOL is promoting this ****, to get me to purchase something I don't need!! -

Just make something that actually could be used to block a specific email address, in the vicinity of the delete button. This would be especially helpful. I love aol email, yet the amount of spammers that now have my email address is making me think I should move from here.
