Mac mail keeps randomly redownloading from server read and deleted mail from mac
Mac mail keeps randomly redownloading from server read and deleted mail from mac
Please delete and re-add your account in the Mac Mail app. The incoming and outgoing mail servers require SSL enabled for all ports, and also the username field in the account setup, needs to contain your full email address, including @verizon.net at the end.
In case your server settings are correct, open the link below (and sign in if necessary), and make sure the option “Allow apps that use less secure sign-in” is turned ON.
https://login.aol.com/account/security
After this turning ON this option, check if your mail application is able to connect. If the problem persists, verify if the “Two-step verification” option on the Account Security page (the URL above) is turned ON or OFF.
In case this feature is turned ON, you will have to create a unique application-specific password for each one of your email applications, by following the steps from the section titled “How do I set…

I have been receiving 50 or more ****** emails from a company in Belize each week.
The Belize company has a postal address but does not have a domain address. Each sexually oriented Email that is sent from this company to my Email has a different domain address. I have tried to unsubscribe but the request is ignored. In fact I think that the underlying company has increased the number of offensive emails. I think AOL should investigate the company and do something to prevent them from sending out these offensive sexually oriented emails.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I have passed it along. If Spam is bypassing the filters, marking mail as Spam or Not Spam is the best and most reliable way to bring spam under control.
You can also create a filter in your emails to direct those specific communication to Spam/Trash if they have any term in common.

Cease operations !!!
my last email client allowed me to see full header information. I have been asked repeatedly by tech support why I found this of value. In my opinion, anyone who asks such a dumb question shouldn't be a Second Tier Support Specialist. Also, the 24/7 promise of phone support is a joke. After several disconnects on a Sunday night, I've concluded that they don't care how much you run up your airtime on your cell, listening to droning voice robot. As I mentioned earlier it's not possible to reach them by landline. One has to hang up to receive security…
We’re sorry to hear about your experience. It’s certainly our expectation and desire that you receive the highest quality service when working with customer support. We’re sad to hear that it sounds like you did not.
Rest assured that we’ve captured your complaint and will make sure your experience is shared with others in an effort to prevent this in the future.

I haven't gotten responses from facebook for weeks and I was getting 50-100 per day. Thank you.
I haven't gotten any emails from my friends on facebook for a few weeks now any I typically get between 50-100 per day. This has happened before. Thanks
Thank you for reaching out. If you’re having issues with email notifications from Facebook:
Make sure you have signed up for your Facebook account with this particular email address.
Check your spam or junk email folder for these messages. If they are in either of these folders, be sure to add the @facebookmail.com email domain to your email account’s safe senders list.
If you’re still not receiving emails from Facebook, contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to ensure that they aren’t blocking email traffic coming from Facebook.

Why
Why are we being asked if we want to go to another site to receive the e-mail on some screen names? This pop up appears on some of my addresses and not on others. I always say NO and re-enter password and the inbox shows up properly. Getting tired of having to do this. Don't trust wanting t o go to another site.

Could you…If you access AOL Mail from an app on your mobile device or your computer, your settings or actions could have caused emails to be deleted from your account.
Desktop apps, like Outlook, Thunderbird, and Mac Mail, or any mobile mail apps can access AOL Mail using POP.
One POP setting, will delete email from your account when it’s downloaded.
Please check if your account is set up as POP in any third party mail client. If that is the case, to disable the “delete emails from server” option, please contact your app manufacturer. -

Emails not showing
My phone shows me I have new emails, I try to open the app, my AOL email in my phone, and the website. ALL say I have no new emails when I know that I do. I haven’t been able to look at my email in days, and I use this email for all my subscriptions.
If you are using the phone’s build in app, please follow these steps: remove the account, then manually re-add it by following the steps from the article below (Click on Setup Manually to see the steps): support.apple.com/en-us/HT201320
In the process of manually adding the account, please use the IMAP settings outlined in the Step 2 section of the following article: https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-use-other-email-applications-to-send-and-receive-my-aol-mail
If you are using the AOL App, please follow these steps:
1. If you’re signed in, tap the Settings icon, tap Manage Accounts, then tap Edit, tap Remove
2. Restart your mobile device
3. Uninstall and reinstall the app with the latest version

Why do some of my "new" emails go to old mail without being read?
My new email goes to old email before it has been opened and read. How do I stop that? Not all new mail, just some of it.
If your email isn’t missing but is going straight into the Old mail folder, this may simply be the normal outcome of using IMAP to access your AOL Mail in another program or on another device. IMAP syncs your mail regardless of where you use it, which means if you read a message in your mailbox on your mobile device, it will appear as “Read” the next time you check your mail from anywhere else.

Links don't work in Chrome- try number 3. Please stop closing these out without discussion.
I tried your latest suggestion, and again, that does not work. Popups are not blocked, but this is still not functioning. There is a problem with the code for the AOL mail tool that is not compatible with a standards based browser like Chrome. Your team needs to test in more than just Internet Explorer for functionality. I have identified the code that has an issue below. This needs passed along to a developer who can review the problem code, implement a change and test it for functionality, as this issue is likely affecting tens of thousands of AOL and…
In case you are using an ad-blocker, pause it for the AOL Mail page. If this is not the case, go to the Google Chrome menu (three horizontal dots on the top right), select More tools then Extensions, and disable the extensions one by one, and check if the problem persists.
