Is there any way aol CAN support attaching PDF files because I simply cannot attach any pdf file to an email - a pop up box comes up which always says that the attachment must be either a JPG or PNG file but NEVER a pdf file - is there any way I can change this? please help.

Attachment names in receiving e-mail is full file path, not just file name
Attachment names in receiving e-mail is full file path, not just file name.
While it looks right in the sending e-mail, it is not.
THIS IS AN ERROR in AOL!!

Sent attachments should NOT have the entire path as the name. Should just be the lowest level file name. Now, it starts with C:/Users/ etc.

Attachment search not working
I can no longer search by attachments. Please fix
This feature is still available.
Please clear your cache, cookies, and history in your browser, by following the steps in our Help article: https://help.aol.com/articles/clear-cookies-cache-history-and-footprints-in-your-browser . Then Under “Compose” go to the Search bar and type the email you wish to find, hit Enter. And on the right corner click on “Refine”, then under “By message type” click on “With attachments”. -
winmail.dat
I receive Excel files as winmail.dat files, most of the time but not always. These .dat files are supposedly corrupted. I find it hard to believe they are corrupted. What can be done about this

an email I sent with pictures was sent back to me from the recipient but pikcs could not be opened when sent back to me.

Try switching to the Standard Version of AOL Mail, by following the steps below, and check if the pictures load in the body of the email.1. Sign in to AOL Mail.
2. Under your username click Options.
3. Click Standard Version.In case the problem persists, follow the steps below, to make sure the pictures are not hidden:
1. Click Option on the top right.
2. Select Mail Settings.
3. Uncheck ‘Hide images in mail from unknown senders’
4. Click Save Settings. -

When I receive a piece of mail that requires my investigation, or discussion with another person, I'd like to save that email and attach notes to it regarding the resolution of that item. Is this possible?
The option to add notes in emails is not available but you can click on Reply to compose and instead of sending it, click Save and it will go to your Drafts folder.
