Improve customer service, it's appalling
Called for assistance to reset email password last week. A couple days later learned I could receive, but not send emails using my iPhone, my primary method for communicating. I called for support and was told that for help I must pay for a monthly support service, but could use the online help. Tried the online help, it was of no help. I will be letting everyone I talk to know to choose any provider accept aol. I wish Verizon Fios had never sold this to aol. It's wrong that I can get help to change a password for free,…
Thank you for your patience while we reviewed your feedback.
We’re sorry to hear about your experience. It’s certainly our expectation and desire that you receive the highest quality service when working with customer support. We’re sad to hear that it sounds like you did not.
Rest assured that we’ve captured your complaint and will make sure your experience is shared with others in an effort to prevent this in the future.
I’m here to help if you still need assistance or have additional questions.

To log out from AOL user account/e-mail account is not possible after 1 Jan. To log out from e-mail doesn't warn your AOL account is open.
Please fix this failure before you will have a massive hacking / break-in problem.
Please try our 3 troubleshooting solutions:
1) Refresh your browser window
2) Clear Browser Cache
If step 1 does not help, please try clearing your browser history, cookies and cache. In many cases, you can use the following handy shortcuts:
- Ctrl-Shift-Delete (Windows)
- Command-Shift-Delete (Mac)
3) Try a different Browser
If steps 1 and 2 do not resolve the issue, please try using a different browser — for example, if you are using Firefox, please try Chrome. -
You can have one username per AOL account. The ability to add and restore deleted usernames has been removed on November 30, 2017.
Please note that any new usernames will be created as separate accounts and will not linked to your existing AOL account.

Junk Mail (SPAM)
Junk Mail
Junk mail option on my IOS is not highlighted. Therefore I cannot send unwanted mail to SPAM. Why?
If you’re using AOL app, you can mark as spam the desired emails by selecting them and checking the box before the email then press the last icon to mark it as spam.
If you’re using built in app from iOS, make sure to select the email and then click on the flag icon to mark them as spam.

Help! i'm lost in a security nightmare
I sign in from the same location every day except when I am on my iphone. Each time for the last wto weeks, since I have uped my security, they tell me I have never signed in from this site before. And I have to go through the whole security process all over again, and again, and again. I could see it if I were out of town, which I will be on occassion, but everyday from the same location! HELP!!!
In most cases this problem is caused by the use of a VPN (virtual private network). A VPN will hide your real location, and for security reasons AOL will ask you to verify your login.

Why are the left side columns COLLAPSED?
The left hand side used to have words rather than syupid symbols describing the various items in email.
STOP changing things because every time you DO that,. it gets screwed up.

send from address
I discovered two address on my Sent From Address field. I never set this up. My AOL email address is my original verizon.net. I noticed on my settings that the field "Send From Address" contain two address one is my regular ************* email address as well as ****************. is that 2nd corresponds to the old verizonemail?
Thank you for reaching out. That is your email alias, which was automatically setup when your Verizon email account was created. The alias does not change your user name and does not create a new mailbox, it becomes the mailing name associated with your primary account and is immediately ready to use in order to send and receive email on. Unfortunately the email alias cannot be deleted from a Verizon account. Please let us know if you have other questions or concerns. Thank you.

I have canged my AOL password but ices already signed in are not being closed an asking for the new password. Ths is a secrity risk. How do
How do I shut down my aol email for all other devices already logged in when I change the password
Once the password is changed apps that are connecting through IMAP/POP will no longer be able to login, unless you have an application password setup through the Two Step Verification.
First check if you have the Two Step Verification enabled, by going to: login.aol.com/account/security
If the Two Step Verification is enabled, click on the application password, and delete all of them, in order to create new application passwords for your email apps.In case the Two Step verification is disabled, you can go to the Recent Activity link below, and remove access to apps, from the Apps connected to your account section.

Get rid of KEEP NEW
Instead of KEEP NEW in the bar above...why not MARK READ? Why would anyone want to KEEP NEW? Ridiculous!
You can mark email as read, by checking the emails from the mail list, then clicking on the ‘More’ button above the list, and selecting ‘Mark Read’ from the drop-down.

Settings needs another option
Title: Give me an option to Stop putting names in front of every email I sent. Only want email address showing. Stop auto saving every address I type, some have typos and they are saved anyway, thus if you auto show an email address with a typo and I don't catch, it is a failure. Give me option to Stop auto save email and not provide name. I don't like your new AOL. I have been on your tech support for 1 hour just now and no way for Help Support to do this they say. AOL must give me…
If you do not want to have a display name when sending emails please go to Options> Mail Settings> Compose> Display name. Here you can delete the name that appears instead of your email address. On the same page down below at Sending, uncheck “Automatically add email addresses to Contacts”.

email names
please allow easy switching back and forth between email names. As Gmail now does. Without signing out and signing back in. Also stop putting read mail in the old mail category. Just leave all received mail in one place except for spam which has been deleted.
Thank you for your feedback about switching accounts in AOL Mail, we will pass this along to the appropriate team for review.
Regarding your other concern, you can switch to a unified Inbox view by following the steps here: https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-switch-to-the-unified-inbox-view
