New laptop PC is showing "Today on AOL" for UK and Centigrade temperature.
New laptop is showing "Today on AOL" for only UK. Also, the temperature setting is for Centigrade. Not sure how to change setting to show US news instead of UK news and Fahrenheit instead of Centigrade.
When you see incorrect local information (such as the news or weather for a different location) on your Welcome Screen, you may want to verify your location is correct. This can be done by making sure your correct City, State is in the top left of your Welcome Screen.
If it is not, please click “Update Your Location” under Local News and Weather, enter your Zip Code and press Save.
If this does not work, please clear your cache, cookies, and history.
Here is an article for instructions: aol.it/1KTJUg6
Then try adding in your Zip Code again. To switch from Celcius to Fahrenheit, just click on the ’’C’’ right next to the temperature level.

You've made AOL so **** difficult!
You've made AOL so **** difficult to maneuver through! No blocking of unwanted spammail! So, I get hordes of it everyday!
Where the *** is the place, WHERE I can deactivate one of my screen names???
Due to recent adjustments to the AOL Mail platform, the Spam Settings customization, are no longer available for all accounts. We apologize for the inconvenience.
In order to block a specific sender, go to Options – Mail Settings – Spam Settings and add the email addresses in the box below “Block Mail from Addresses I Specify”, then click Save Settings at the bottom, and in case you receive unwanted emails in the Inbox, mark them as Spam.

don't change my email; today December 27, 2018 I now have a terrible email experience and where are my "older emails?"
AOL did some recent changes to my email and I hate those changes !
How can I change back to the previous way? Example, before, I could read a message and then delete or save it. Now when I finish a message, the next message automatically opens ! This is a major security issue, since that message could be bad spam or malware, etc. Please change this email system back or tell me how to change it back to the way it was.In order to change it back, please follow the next steps:
Options – Mail Settings – and uncheck ‘In full reading view, display the next message after moving or deleting the current one’ then click Save Settings at the bottom.
If you are missing emails from your inbox, please contact our FML team at aolmailquestions@aol.com for a mail recovery.

"Today on AOL" Landing Page - Disable
In my settings, I deselected the box that says "Show me Today on AOL when signing in". Yet every single time I log in, it takes me to the "Today on AOL" page. I double-checked my settings and the box is still deselected, but it keeps doing exactly what I asked it not to do.
Any chance you can get the system to actually recognize the settings?
Thanks.By un-clicking Today on AOL when you sign in, you will be directed to your Inbox, not the news page, however this will not remove the news page from your mailbox. If this is not happening, please make sure to have the latest version of your browser or change the browser.

Can't find settings icon to add an email account
Running Windows 10. Can't find settings icon. Need to add another email account.
If you are using AOL web-mail (mail.aol.com) you will need to sign out of an account, from the top right corner of the page, then sign back in using another account. Unfortunately AOL web-mail does not have a switch account feature.
In case you are using an email client on your Windows 10 (e.g. Windows Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird), please follow the steps from the section titled ‘Instructions for common email apps’ from the article below, in order to add another account.

2-step Verification
I also did the 2 Step Verification. Sure enough, I had problems getting my emails to synch on 3 devices: my iPhone, my NOOK and my MacBook Pro!
1 Possible Solution: Please have AOL Programmers include a STATEMENT in the 2 Step Verification directions ----that 2 Step Verification should NOT be used for anyone with more than 1 device, please!
Innocently, people know about 2 Step Verification for many other applications, browsers, etc ...and they and I believed we were ADDING SAFETY via AOL's 2 Step Verification! We are mainly people with 2-3 devices. TY!
You can use the 2 Step Verification with multiple devices, but you will have to create an application password for each one. In order to create an application password, please follow the steps here: https://help.aol.com/articles/Create-and-manage-app-password

Give option to not see reminder for 'backup email or phone' every time log in
Please stop asking me to verify backup email and phone before I access my account. Give an option to opt out of this pop up message. This information should be part of profile and the responsibility of account owner to keep up to date. My information usually stays for years without needing updated. The information could also have a way, if people want, a reminder for 30 days, 60 days, 120 days, etc. - then a popup could appear for them.
AOL is just doing its best to protect your online safety. It’s extremely important to have updated information should you ever need to change your account settings, reset your password or contact AOL customer support.
