It's an interesting conundrum we're in... Wanting, and needing to support and defend another country... But unwilling to do so because a third country has threatened use of their nuclear weapons!

Nuclear armament (and disarmament) has always been considered as a deterrent to keep one country from using their nuclear weapons against another...

i.e... If you blow me (or mine) up... ... I'll blow you (and yours) up! Mutual destruction!

However, nuclear war is now being used as a threat by Russia and Putin to allow them to do anything they want... in this case... illegally invade and destroy a neighboring sovereign nation!

The question is... When... do we finally say enough is enough... and refuse to allow them to continue their carnage?

If we "cross that line" and take a stance that triggers Putin to carry out his threat, then... nuclear war!

If we don't, and allow his threat to stand... we risk repetition of the same event over and over! No rational person is in favor of nuclear war... it's a lose / lose situation.

But then... so is allowing one country... and then another... and then another... To run rampant on the world... to achieve their own distorted desires!

I believe that right now, the world is using the best strategy to hopefully reach a diplomatic solution.

But given who we're talking about... I'm not so sure that will be enough to secure a safe future for our world!
