The real problem, Jim...
Is that people (like you?) so adamantly refuse to recognize there IS a problem!

It's fine and dandy to put all the blame (as you do) on individuals, chastising them for being frustrated and angry at the treatment they DO receive... and suggesting that the ONLY solution is for them to put on their big boy panties and deal with the situation!

Not to say that is not a valuable suggestion!
As there are "millions of successful black people" who have negotiated the racist maze of education, housing, employment, lack of respect, and any of the myriad other "challenges" society has placed in their path.

And good for them!

But that, in and of itself, will not solve the problem!
Because not everyone has the will, fortitude, or the ability to negotiate that maze!

And why should ALL the responsibility fall on those facing those "challenges"?

Shouldn't that responsibility be shared by those who actually create them... by taking steps to remove them in the first place?

Failing to acknowledge that balance of responsibility is failure to recognize there's a problem!

And THAT is a problem!
