Because they agreed to...!

Unlike in non-union shops, where management hands out promotions and raises based often on nothing more than whether the boss likes you or not... good worker or not... suck-up or not... etc, etc..!

But I get that you like making those "hand-of-God" kinds of judgements and decisions!
