I want to cancel Norton Security Online which might not have registered.
Not an idea. A complaint. Your fix too complex when registering failed.

Better explain status of verizon.net users
I could not find, for example, if I have a verizon.net email address (at AOL), whether I am allowed to keep it if I change my ISP from verizon to another carrier. It is not clear what role, if any, verizon plays in the verizon.net email domain (run by AOL??)
You can continue to use your email address with AOL (with your @verizon.net domain), no matter what internet connection or ISP you are using.
