option to delete multiple emails option removed
Removing option to multiply delete email is a childish attempt to force people to use the new version.
Hi there. You can delete multiple emails at once. Please use the scroll feature/bar from the right side of the email list to get to the end of the page and more emails will load and you'll be able to select all. If you need additional help navigating the New AOL Mail, please contact us on Twitter at @AOLSupportHelp or on Facebook at our AOL Customer Care page. If you do not have a social media account, we are available at help.aol.com.
Thank you,
AOL team

Should be able to at least click each day if not each month only one click and delete the whole thing instead of one by one there is too much junk in the email to do this and it takes too much time.

Why am I no longer able to delete just one email but must delete many emails at once?

When I review emails in my inbox I sometimes select and click on a bunch of emails to do a mass deletion. However if I click on 1 email to read, all the previous checked boxes are unchecked. This is such a waste of time and it has to result in your company's retention being full of old emails. Why don't you make it easier to delete multiple emails - It has to be a very easy software update. Otherwise AOL becomes tedious after awhile. I just selected 20 emails to delete, I saw 1 that was interesting, I clicked on it to read, and all the emails I had checked are now unchecked - such a waste of time to select them again. Gmail has this feature where checked items remained checked if you read an email, then you can simply delete them. AOL is my preference so Please adopt this procedure.

I need to know how to delete a block of emails quickly in one action. Currently I have to Mark each email line individually, delete those, then mark another list of emails individually, delete, and so on. It's way too slow a process to sit and delete each email in that way. And your function "Clean Inbox" wipes everything out totally. Please come up with a way to select a block of emails in one action and delete, so I don't have to mark each email individually.

Today, when I move a message, a message pop up displays and tells me the status of the move, but it blocks the icons (mainly "Move"!) Thanks...Bob Sagerer, bscore@aol.com

Recently they have started putting a popup box when you delete an email...not sure how long it has been, but this popup box is placed right in front of the delete button, so you have a very difficult time using the delete button until the popup clears. Please move the popup somewhere it is not blocking anything.

If you were looking at the email page you'll see a tool header for "Restore to Inbox - Move - Delete - Spam" header... When you delete a message a box with "Message Deleted" and a green check mark pops up in front of the header hiding the tool menu... It takes several seconds for the popup to eventually go away and I have to wait several seconds to delete each mail... The "Message Deleted" popup needs to be moved away from anything that it would interfere with...

Sure would be nice to be able to select all the emails I wish to delete at once by holding down shift & page end and it go ALL THE WAY to the actual end of the emails you need as opposed to having to select the box and page down on the scroll bar over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Delete mail in sections by date, month or year. Right now you can only delete all or one by one. You should have a box next to DAY, MONTH and even YEAR that you can then select and be to delete them for the given period.

MAKE ALL ACTIONS THAT DELETE OR CLEAR OUR INBOX, A ONE CLICK OPTION. TO DELETE OR MOVE. NOT SEARCH THROUGH ACTOINS, FIND THE DELETE THEN SELECT INDIVIDUAL EMAILS. INSTEAD HAVE ONE BUTTON TO THE LEFT OF EACH EMAIL, A D AND AND M MAYBE, SO I GO DOWN, CLICK D ONE TIME, AND THAT IS DELETED. IN THE TRASH FOLDER, ADD A DELETE ALL FEATURE. THIS WAY, I AM NOT HOLDING ON TO 35k EMAILS AS I AM RIGHT NOW, BECAUSE OF ISSUES WITH A TWO YEAR OLD COURT CASE, WHERE I AM AFRAID TO DELETE ALL THE SPAM AND CLEAN MY INBOX UP INCASE I ACCIDENTALLY DELETE AN EMAIL I WILL NEED LATER. ID BE ABLE TO KEEP MY IMPORTANT THINGS ORGANIZED BETTER IF I COULD CLEAN MY INBOX UP BUT I LEFT THE INTERNET FOR A MONTH, SPAM OVERRAN MY INBOX AND IVE NEVER HAD THE TIME IT TAKES TO GO ONE AT A TIME TO DELETE, TO SORT ETC.

Now I have to risk deleting all my emails if I don't uncheck every other one when I really only needed to delete 25.

In old format I could select all mail in a folder and perform an action. In new format, there is a Select All button but it only selects the next mail items. So if I have a 1000 mails in my trash folder, I have to perform the operation (select all, delete, are you sure?) ten times to delete them all. Same is true if I want to move all my inbox mail to another folder. In old format, I could do these operations for all the mail in a folder. Please create a button Select All which actually selects all!

Why is it that I can not clean out my unread folder and my trash folder? It won't delete all and now it won't delete at all.

Again, go back to the old version! If I had several e-mails from today in the inbox that I wanted to delete, I could hit 'delete' above todays e-mails and they would all be checked and I could delete them in one click. Now, if I hit the 'delete' box and I have e-mails from other days in the inbox it checks "everything" in the inbox. If I want to only delete messages from today, I must individually check every message, then hit delete. This is absolutely stupid and WAY TO MUCH WORK.
GO BACK TO THE OLD FORMAT!!!
