As Alex Stephens said, there are sites that change the email address to, for instance abc@aol.com to abcataol.com@site.com. This is normal. What you need to do is NOT click on reply on those sites but instead scroll down and you'll see choices like "reply to group", "reply to sender", etc. Choose reply to sender (if that's your choice) and this won't happen. It's not AOL's fault. It's the sender's fault for not checking the To line before sending the email and not scrolling down to hit reply to at the bottom of the email they are reading
